IGN:
Call of Duty: Black Ops II will feature a simplified perk system that may be nerfed without warning, according to the game's multiplayer designer.
Following the Wii U and 3DS servers being taken offline, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and Ghosts are officially dead.
Call of Duty players are jumping into Black Ops 2 for the final time before its Wii U servers go offline for good.
GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 leap up due to summer sales
Wow, good games never get old I guess.
CoD will always be a beast of a franchise, and how awesome is it that you can just boot it up or pop it into your Xbox and play, MS BC is really a neat feature.
Sounds good. I didnt play Black ops as much as the other games so i never really got into the bits and pieces of the perk pro's didnt see the point. Gun choice has always made the biggest difference.
Looking forward to the game though, people complain about graphics and it always being the same but its one of the only multi plat games that cater so well to the many people who want to play shooters with and against friends in the same room.
Like past ones it'll im guessing have a zombie mode which i will play the hell out of, 4 player split screen local multi player and a split screen option for online play.
Thats always been the massive draw for me, the game could be terrible but playing with friends in the same room just makes any game of this type so much better, hence the crazy sales the game always manages to pull off.
Hard to imagine how CoD can be further simplified.
I think this is a step in the right direction. I've played against too many people that were dependant on Last Stand or Ghost Pro in Black Ops.
If they could get the feel of COD 4 back .. were you do rely on accuracy and not so much on Killstreaks and Deathstreaks .. it may well be enough.
The main problem with COD for me is the "sticky" aim.. its ridiculous sometimes. Get that toned down and make sure the net-codes good and we get a level playing field.. in a sense.
"I can nerf perks and I will, mark my words," Vonderhaar continued. "A perk should never be something you need just to compete. A perk is 'I got a parking spot,' or 'the soda machine gave me free soda.' Your life shouldn't depend on it. The community helped me understand that, and that's why our new system has no absolutes. We can try to make it the most balanced CoD ever."
Good to hear. I like how they can constantly keep the game balanced even day to day if need be.
You guys can't say they aren't trying....or listening...they are.
