Nintendo has updated all of their listings for Wii U launch window games and they have revealed a large amount of all the games we can expect to play on November 18th

It's a good launch line-up, but not good enough to warrant a launch purchase IMO because most of those launch games are multi platform and have already been released by the time the Wii U hits the market - AC3, ME3, Darksiders 2, BO2, Arkham City to name a few.

Take out all those great multi platform games and I personally think the Wii U will be one of the worst, if not the worst launched console.

@below: it doesn't matter if they're still fairly new. Most sales come from the first 2 weeks anyway. Both games also already have their own fanbase - most buyers will come from PS3 and 360 owners.

Why would you discard a game for consideration just because it appears on another format? That's completely ridiculous. Good games are good games, people will buy the WiiU - just like every other Nintendo format - for the Nintendo exclusives. Now they also get the option of big name 3rd party titles in their best form to back that up...I really don't see the problem with that other than not liking the competition.

This is quite possibly the best launch line up ever. BUT most of these games will have been released already, thats the problem. So other than ZombiU,rayman legends and MarioU there are no games I'm interested in...release Guild Wars 2 for it and maybe I'll buy it.
What it also needs is a mandatory achievement system and a competent online(which strangely enough they have BARELY mentioned at all)

as much as people will say that ACHIEVEMENTS are dumb, they do help. Hell i love getting them, i am actually trying to get all of them in skyrim (i am pretty close)

and the online on the wii was (to put it bluntly) BALLS.. if BALLS continues for online then no hardcore will want that system. I don't want it to be a chore to add a friend, and i don't know if friendcodes will be back but who the hell remembers that many digits.. phone numbers aren't even that long (even with area code, and area codes are the same for an area so if a friend lives a few doors down, he probably has the same area code) and friend codes had no logic to them at all

About half are going to be available elsewhere, and those ones are the AAA title, the majority of the exclusives look like party games, i could be wrong though.

Only ZombiU interests me, but i can see that getting ported at some point.

I'm actually impressed with nintendo! I haven't been interested since gamecube, but I can honestly say I'd buy 9 of the 22 launch titles. That's almost half! Even though I'm not going to get a wii U in the next 2 years(unless ZombieU is awesome) I might end up getting one soon or later.

I got New Super Mario U, Zombie U and NintendoLand (with system) on day one. I just hope there isn't a drought of releases for too long after launch. I also can't wait to see what kind of downloadable games show up on the store early.

Yes and no, technically the game HAS to be copied onto the internal flash for it to play. When you load another game from the SD you are overwriting the previous game. The reason this works is due to the limitations of the Wii, or so what Nintendo said. But then again this should be different with the Wii U.

To answer your question with a guess; I think you won't need to store games unless you download them off the eShop. Nintendo's disc readers are often top quality. My GCN and Wii have never failed me. Of course this is an HD console, so that's completely subject to change. So who knows?

Well in the uk its priced around £249 for the base sku, £279 for the premium and the gamepad is going to be priced around £120. Though I'd imagine some retailers will have their own discounted bundles.

The Marvel Game they listed looks like it is a original Xbox game. From 2 generations ago. Looks absolutely horrible. Props to Ubisoft on creating such a lousy piece of shit. I didn't think such subpar graphics were possible this generation, but you proved me wrong.

Too many PS3/360 re-releases on this list. Not enough new first party IPs. Not enough third party support.

If Rockstar gets behind the Wii U then i'd consider buying one on launch date. Otherwise I'm just going to spend that money on better components for a new PC. I'm leaning towards just waiting and seeing what kind of price cuts and HARD DRIVE UPGRADES (lol 32GB) come out later.

Too soon to tell how this console will do. Has potential. I'm still a bit bitter with Nintendo so it's not a Day 1 buy for me as a core gamer. I'm guessing it will be sold out anyways due to: 1. Releasing around Christmas 2. Improving economy 3. Limited Supply. But I don't think it will set any records.

I think a lot of early adopters are vastly overlooking how many games they're going to be buying digitally on this console if they don't plan on upgrading the harddrive. And paying more for a harddrive you're going to replace anyways is dumb. People who buy the more expensive version of the console must like being ignorant and throwing money away or something.

If I buy a Wii U, I will be buying the basic version and installing a 500Gb harddrive. I think i'd rather just keep saving my money at this point which is rather sad. Oh well. They brought this on themselves.

I think the best bet will be to wait until it goes up on Amazon.com for a number of reasons:

1. Avoid sales tax on a $300-$350 item.
2. Price cut should it not meet sales expectations
3. Harddrive upgrades
4. Bundle deals
5. Avoid any bugs/flaws with launch models
6. Delivered to your home so you don't have to carry that huge dinosaur system home with you or trip over people in the store picking it up after waiting in long lines. Those people you trip over in line also tend to not have the best hygiene.

Note to gamers who go to midnight launches or release events: DEODORANT. That is all.

Oh the greatness of Rayman Legends, AC III,Batman Armored Edition and DarkSiders II(which I have yet to play both), Tekken Tag, Zombie U, and Trine 2 Directors cut.

Not to mention soon after MH3 Ultimate for both 3DSXL and Wii U (Cross-play), The Wonderful 101, Dragon Quest X, Aliens Colonial Marines, Bayonetta 2, Dirt, Injustice Gods Among Us, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, and Warrior Orochi 3 Hyper!

These are just some of the handful of games that I'm interested in, and I'm sure I won't be able to get most, therefore there will be plenty of time to get these as the months roll by; not to mention the list of games that will grow from now till March!

Another Great thing will be when I transfer all my Wii Virtual Console titles, and be able to play all the classic N64, SNES, NES, etc..., on the Gamepad similarly to having a handheld on the couch. I'm super excited for this system the more I think about it!

they have been dangling it in front of us way too long and now the details are coming out. I was not impressed by Nintendos Online on the WII and i think it will suck a bit less now, but still suck.

also the price of the tablet is way too much, i get it but if you want 2 then you may as well just skip the wii U and buy an iPad. I know its not the same but if you have a PS3 or 360 then you are in the same boat. Nintendo killed it with the WII in terms of sales, but the games weren't that great (lots of shovel ware) and no HD.

now it has HD but we are far enough in the console cycle that the XBOX may be showcasing something new soon... Sony a few months after that (remember the PS3 is almost a year younger then XBOX360). I personally will save my money for the next iteration of hardware that will raise the bar once again. I like MARIO, and i love SMASH BROS (i don't believe its announced yet for WII-U) but thats not enough to get me to spend the money when i know i will end up playing mostly the XBOX.. I just like it most.. i have a PS3 and i have a WII.. and i mainly play the xbox

The Wii-U should be a monster, but $399au, with that tablet thingy, means the specs inside that little white box are gonna be pretty poor.
I think the Wii-U will be lucky if it's as powerful as PS3, & even if it is equal or nearly so, it is 6years too late.

I'm pretty shore that if 360 or PS3 were singled out with 4-6months extra development time, as is the case with Darksiders 2, then it would be identical to what they get it running like on Wii-U.

Just admit, the machine should have been a monster, powerhouse, without the uneccessary psuedo tablet thing, as it is costing waaaaay too much for that, rather than going to something uhmmm, useful, like say, urghh, processing power. Frigging crazy that people are psyched for this, as apart from Zombi-U (which hasn't yet been shown runnung on a Wii-U, but instead has just been shown probably running on pc). If I am wrong & Zombi-U releases looking a bit better than the gameplay vids weve seen, I will eat my words & probably buy a machine, when a 32gig + Zombi-U deal arises.
But Zombi-U is gonna have to look better than the current vids, due to the extra development time, & fact that demo vids usually comprise of older builds. So, until Nintendo starts impressing, then consider me duly, unimpressed.

The fact that the Wii U has 2gigs of RAM (1 gig reserved for the OS) means that this thing will not only run the current PS3/360 games but run them better plus toss in the fact u can u can suspend a game and Multi task AND with Nintendo TV AND Zombi U has been Shown running on the Wii U, however u cant expext the world from launch window games. Ninendo will have a solid 2 years of being the big boy and capture a nice market share before the new Sony and Microsoft machines arrive which will no doubt be $150-$300 more than the Wii U will be when theyre released. I think Nintendo has a great chance to bond itself with peoples living rooms before the next wave is out.

I have love for nintendo but I'm not into a lot those games. I like ZombieU which devs said it is possible for other systems can get it. Pikmin 3 but maybe 2 years to release it. Now pay attention all games listed 12/31/2012 are placeholders date, Aliens Colonial Marines is list for 12/31/2012 like alot of the other stuff. Most of these multiplat are not launch titles.

And most Devs have stated that Wii U is not Next Gen it's Nintendo's entry into current gen. Go do the research.
