i would say it is a safe bet Nintendo will release a new F-Zero game on the Wii U at some point.

jjdoyle4237d ago

nintendos be odds with how they release games
kid icarus when how longs with no news one?

blue_cheese4237d ago

yeah true Nintendo does release games at an odd pace for franchises. but im really convinced they will want to get the Nintendo DS crowd buying Wii U's by making DS franchises full fledged Wii U titles.

Myst4237d ago

Please Nintendo do this I have been acking for an F-Zero. If not for WiiU can we at least get one on the 3DS or perhaps even the first one on the VC for 3DS?

jjdoyle4237d ago

3ds has maximum one from GBA on eshops

meganick4237d ago

It's not for sale in the eshop. It was just one of the freebies for ambassadors. No GBA games are for sale yet unfortunately. :(

Myst4237d ago

damn I had my hopes up for like a few seconds before I saw Meganick's comment :( shame.

A well done F-zero installment could boost sales for the Wii U like crazy. That's a big title, and I know for sure that I would be jealous of a person playing a new F-Zero if I didn't have it.

F-Zero 99 is Peak Nintendo, But Not the F-Zero We Wanted

F-Zero 99 is a fantastic new way to play the franchise, but it falls far short of a new game built for modern hardware.

PRIMORDUS221d ago (Edited 221d ago )

I would have loved a F-Zero GX remake, not remaster, or a brand new F-Zero game.😞

Agent75220d ago

The problems with that are it'd probably weigh in at a full price game and it wouldn't include the AX tracks that are weirdly in the GameCube version but can't be accessed.

PRIMORDUS220d ago (Edited 220d ago )

Actually I thihk you can get the AX tracks but it's really hard to do it. https://www.reddit.com/r/Ga...
But I think you might still need to find the arcade of AX, that would be nearly impossible today. There is hope, there is a rom hack for the GC rom that has all the AX tracks in there. 😁 Just search for: F-Zero AX Direct Boot

Abear21220d ago

This. Why Nintendo won’t fan service us with this and give Wave Race the same treatment is beyond me. Switch 2 launch games would sell them out of consoles, but we’ll prolly just get another Mario because they figure that’s enough. Sadly, they are correct.

Soy220d ago

If you want more F-Zero, make sure to give this one some love then.

sadraiden220d ago (Edited 220d ago )

Was Tetris 99 a new game built for modern hardware? What about Mario 99?

Does this person not know that Fzero 99 is built on the SNES title? Were they actually expecting a brand new Fzero game? hahahahaha
Also, what's with all of the spammy ass tags?

F-Zero X is coming to Nintendo Switch Online on 3/11

Race at speeds of over 1,000 km/h when F-Zero X comes to Nintendo Switch for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members on 3/11.

iplay1up2777d ago

I'd rather have Diddy Kong racing.

Snookies12777d ago

Wow, never thought I'd see the day when Nintendo actually remembered they owned the F-Zero IP lol.

Neonridr777d ago

I want to play GX again. Or get Shin'en to make a new F-Zero game.

N64 Games That Actually Aged Well

Star Wars Rogue Squadron. That’s the list. You can all go home. I’m just kidding, of course. The N64 had a lot of unforgettable titles throughout its run.

Quest 64, while simple and short, would certainly fit on this list. So would a few others.

JEECE907d ago

Lol Mario Kart 64. That's the perfect example of nostalgia blinding people from seeing how badly a game has aged. Great at the time, but the controls are abysmal now. People ripped on Double Dash at the time, but it aged much better. Unfortunately for people my age N64 is so attached to their childhood that any criticism of any game is taken like an insult to their family honor or something.

franwex907d ago

I guess to each their own. But I still think Mario Kart 64 is good all these years later.

NotoriousWhiz907d ago (Edited 907d ago )

I still enjoy playing N64 games, the only ones that truly haven't aged well are the FPS games : Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. Although the Turok games have aged well as it uses a better control scheme (move with C buttons, aim with control stick)

metalgod88907d ago

Wave Race 64 is absolutely fantastic. Racing games are my jam, but I remember this game being really tough because the rough weather and strong waves were pushing my jet ski around slamming me into obstacles haha. I wish I had an N64 so I could replay it.

YoungKingDoran907d ago

Duke Nukem 64 and Doom 64. Also the recently english translation of Shiren 2 looks and plays great
