This is the sequel to the Alien Lion's '10 Forgotten Games That Should Have Been Franchises' list. Here, he is counting down 5 funny games that needed sequels:
One thing Uwe Boll got right in his myriad of shitty video game movies was the humor. Video game humor tends to be as brainless and lowbrow as it comes and if you ever actually laugh, it’s more of a “it’s supposed to be funny so I’ll go along” type of a chuckle, rather than a genuine lol. Well, let’s remember and salute the exceptions, the games that went for the challenge of achieving the funny and succeeded.
The PS2 still took plenty of inspiration from the arcade, leading to a lot of frustration over ottsels, stunts, and, uh, hands of God.
Out of the games on that list, I've beaten:
Maximo
God of War II (but on PS3)
Jak II
Stuntman
This should make fans happy. Grim Fandango has been resurrected to hit the turntable once again for the game's 25th anniversary! In partnership with Double Fine Productions and Disney, iam8bit is repressing the fan-favorite Grim Fandango 2xLP Vinyl Soundtrack.
Take it down the memory lane with this ultimate list of the best PlayStation 2 games of all time. Just the best of the best right here.
It's so disappointing that to this day, I have not seen a game match what BLACK offers in an FPS.
The greatest console of all time !!!!
The last console from when gaming was pure, games didn't take 5 years to release, no online only, no half finished games, no mtx.
Ps2 was just banger after banger after banger.
It will always be my favourite.
Ms need to sell the conker bad fur day right back 2 Big N.
So we can get bad fur day 3 since Ms don't know what to do with the ip
Everyone needs to play God Hand, best game ever made.
Why won't MS let RARE make another Conker or Killer Instinct for that matter? I know each one would sell more than Kinect Star Wars and MS put all their power behind that flop.
On topic, Conker was funny, but it sold like trash. I think the trolls here at N4G just like to bring up games that have a cult following and then try to make Microsoft look bad for not releasing more flop games.
Killer Instinct on the SNES was great, the one on N64 flopped and wasn't as good. I'm afraid the original came at a time when it could flourish, now days fighting games don't exactly sell very well, especially exclusive fighting games. You would be looking at 500k - 1.5 million tops. People have to be realistic when it comes to games and producing games.
Earthbound & Costume Quest for me. (I know about the GBA Mother game but still want something on a console)
