IGN: Borderlands 2 Video Review

When you’ve managed to create an unexpectedly great first entry for a franchise, it begs the question: What the hell do you do with the sequel? In the case of Borderlands 2 developer Gearbox has decided to largely stick with what worked the first time around, while implementing a host of tweaks that make it an overall superior game. A few relatively minor complaints aside, Borderlands 2 improves not only the narrative, but almost every major game system. If you’ve been itching for a reason to jump back into the world of Pandora, Borderlands 2 provides a more than ample supply.

hope it has more enemy and enviorment variety than part 1. i couldnt finish the first game let alone play more than 20 hours of it.

Oh and btw... there is a huge variety in the environment

Acid seas, metropolises, industrial areas, volcanoes, seas, etc

Better AI, more variety of everything makes the game that much more awesome :D

Oh, and one more thing. I wonder who the person is that is hiding between a couple of those golems... x) (between the yellow and purple, black hair with a part that has white hair O.o)

nicked for no vehicle missions...lol.

this means they played it through entirely?. In a way it makes me curious, but probably. I remember GearBox brought up that vehicles were mostly a way to get from point A to point B. It would have been fun or would be to have a mission with them though :D (driving and shooting people down or something? <.<)

It'd be awesome to make your own gunning machine since its all about guns in this game :P, oh well...just thoughts.

They brought up texture pop-in (I don't mind it as long as it fixes itself and i've seen it often other places), but the bugs I can see it getting nicked for and the texture pop-in for that though instead of the vehicle thing.

oh well still a great score :) and it isn't MY score, so I can't really argue.

It seems as though all of my major complaints have been addressed from the first game and the things I liked have been improved upon. I pre ordered this for the hell of it. I dont have anything new to play until hitman so i want something action packed and kind of silly.

same here, my only beef with the first was the stories that came along with the missions and the lack of visual cust.. the story was addressed and the visual cust, while not as extensive as id like to see, was at least addressed a bit. im in for a treat mon at midnight!

Loved the first game with a passion. Played through it twice on every single side and main mission with 3 of my best friends. Thats how dedicated we were to this game! Every mission done with a full lobby!

I live very far away from my best friends, so Borderlands is sort of like a friendship tradition for us where we get together and have a good time gaming together online.

We scheduled our playthrough this winter holiday because of our college and university schedule.

Little disappointed that the loot still going to be shared, cause it was pain in the arse and annoying when people would grab everything in the chest and you got nothing. Work can wait for two days, been waiting two years for bl2. I hope the mic function been fixed. I know on the ps3 version talking sometimes would cut in and out especially when the level was loading.

Of course it looks better on PC because you can't really change things around extensively on a console as you can on a PC. Running silky smooth depends on how well geared you are for the requirements.
and they are adding actual menu options to the game for PC as well which is great.
