IGN is now on the fourth day of their Top RPGs of All Time List. Today IGN are adding #40-21. Tomorrow IGN are adding the last entries to the list, and the whole list will be complete.
The Elder Scrolls: Baldur's Gate 3.
Kinda cool I guess. Seems they just allowed the camera to zoom in right on top of the characters head and then able to control movement like a fps. Makes me wonder what the game would be like if I didn't ever zoom way out and scroll over the environment to check out for enemies nearby almost constantly.
The Fallout Anthology Edition is coming to PC very soon, and is packaged with some very S.P.E.C.I.A.L. bonuses.
It’s an awful downgrade to the last one they did
They included physical disc back then
I would love the classic fallout games on console. Closest I could find was atom rpg, I liked that one a lot
"They can define so many things and they know your games"
The companies that fire creative talent that demand high compensation are not looking to make good games. They just need someone to disguise a monetization scheme. The goals are different. They would be idiots if they were looking to make a solid game and fired solid talent, but they are not, so they are not idiots when it comes to their goals. However, they are idiots if they think it's sustainable.
Hopefully, you don't let BG3's success get to your head and become CDPR 2.0.
That's why some guys make "game of the year" games, and other make, well, Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League.
I'm glad that Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King is on the list. It's a fantastic RPG.
Another good entry on this installment is Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
Ys Book 1&2 #100, Lunar:EB #99, and FF8 is #97??? Yet Mario RPG is #21? That's blasphemy! Mario RPG was an entry level RPG that was very light on content. It is highly overrated.
Anyone who played Ys Book 1&2 on the Turbo CD or Duo knows it was special for its time during the early 90s. It had an amazing CD quality soundtrack, and voice and animation narratives that was not possible on the other consoles like the SNES simply due to the limited cartridge storage. http://www.youtube.com/watc...
I'm so glad Suikoden made in the top 50, ranking in number 44 by far one of favorite JRPG to this day and the first JRPG that I finish it.
Ohhh and Hey Konami, where's my SUIKODEN VI!
Yep Shining Force and Phantasy Star two of my favs made the list :)
