Microsoft published ninja gaiden 2 and it was exclusive to xbox 360 but Ninja gaiden 2 is available for ps3. The first bayonetta is on ps3 and xbox so I don't see why if there is s sequel it wouldn't come to ps3 and xbox at some point with over 100 million potential buyers

Holy god. SOOOoooo much entitlement. What do you mean the reason they are getting a sequel is because of PS3 and 360 owners???? They are getting a sequel because consumers bought their game which was good. I hate it when people expect something more out of the developer when they buy the game. Most big-budget games are all about business decisions.

I hate it when people say "I bought your game say you owe me something." Platinum Games does not owe you or anyone else anything. People bought the game because it was good. That's it. The reason they Bayonetta was a success was because it was a good game, not the entitlement gamers going "hurr hurr I bought your game so you owe me something." When you buy a product, you buy that single product THATS IT.

Final Fantasy is a bad analogy as the games are separate story lines with the exception of the RN-N titles. As for Bayonetta, they can do a back story opening like ME2 did on PS3.

This is just Nintendo trying to get ps3/360 core owners to convert to a wiiU. Unfortunately for Nintendo, bayonetta and ninja gaiden aren't really that populate outside of Japan. If Nintendo is trying to get the Asian market then it makes sense, but it's not going to do much damage to the ps3/360 install base in Europe or the Americas (outside of Asia). Really I don't foresee millions of people running to a wiiU for bayonetta and ninja gaiden lol.

It's not really dumb when both games sold quite poorly, showing a clear lack of interest from the average PS3/360 user. I bought and loved both, and I'm glad both are getting sequels. This site never ceases to amaze me.

The general consensus from the average PS3/360 user on Rayman was that it was 2D so paying full retail price for it was a no no because clearly being 2D was a clear indication that not enough effort was made in developing it....ignoring the fact the game had more content and design/artistic integrity than most of the AAA releases of Q4 2011.

And don't even get me started on Bayonetta. I can see a lot more niche titles like these finding their homes on the Wii U because the PS3/360 console market has become a AAA, big budget bubble. Games made by smaller developers like Platinum Games and Grasshopper for example are just as good if not better than most of the games EA and Activision sh*t out but the market for them on consoles seems to be contracting.

Time will tell. Really hyped for the Wii U now.

That was a pretty surprising move by Nintendo. Make no mistake, this is a statement. By picking up a core, underrated game with a sizable cult following, Nintendo is basically confirming that the effort to win back core gamers will be a real one.

Same thing with Ninja Gaiden. Core gamers were pissed off at the design choices made, so Nintendo picks up the rights and commissions a retool of the game.

Obviously, the casual crowd will still get a lot of attention, but the moves Nintendo is making suggest that the core audience will probably get more attention this time.

Also, I love how Nintendo is publishing it, basically confirming that it'll never go anywhere else. Very smart move on Nintendo's part.

Original great ds games like Knights in the Nightmare, Ghost trick and the world ends with you going to psp, ios and ios respectively(with tWEWY and KitN being made specifically with the 2 screen apporach of ds in mind...)

I see no problem whatsoever with Bayonetta 2 being exclusive to the Wii U (gonna own the system anyway). It's even a good thing, since the game will be fully optimized for the Wii U.
Plus, it was this or the gane being on hold indefinitely or cancelled.

Bayonetta was about timing, procision, dodging, and combos. I do not think it will feel the same using the Wii U controller. I am a big fan but I'll pass.

It's a nice way of saying there is a new kid in town in the mature market and hard core, and if your mad now, just wait into some bigger exclusives get announced This may only be a start. If their was a meter measuring the amount of butthurt on this article it would be broken right now. Here's a thought. Wanna play the game buy a Wii U. If not then dont buy it. Simple as that. It's called business and money talks. Besides I'm pretty sure most people on here that say they won't play it are gonna give in anyway if they're truly fans of the first one. Don't know why people are getting either angry, butt hurt and/or boastful about this. It's just Bayonetta, a single game that didn't even sell that well and a sequel that Sega decided to cancel but people are acting as if they just won the lottery and people are acting as if it the worst upset in the history of gaming and that it will assure the Wii U's victory for certain.I am sure the few people that brought it are very excited but everyone else are lukewarm about it.Rayman Origins and Bayonetta barely even registered to most gamers on multiple systems and didn't even reach console pushing numbers and yet people seem to think that they will somehow sell and be received better on the Wii U alone.I liked Rayman Origins but I don't think the sequel on the Wii U is going to make it sell any better if it couldn't even sell well across multiple consoles.
