There's good reason to be proud of the technical specifications shown off today.
AMD has long been the best value option if you're looking for a new GPU. Now even their latest Radeon RX 7000 series is getting cheaper.
The Nintendo Switch is potentially nearing its lifespan, and several Wii U games haven't found their way over as ports yet.
I think it's better to leave games like AC: Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash forgotten on the Wii U. Best case, they are mediocre games; worse case, they are very bad. It was a dark time for the Wii U, and the first only exists to sell Amiibo cards, whereas the second was put together in a couple of months with a shoestring budget, and it shows.
The rest of the list does have some really cool games, though. I would love to see a remake of Star Fox Zero with decent controls, and Xenoblade X doesn't require that much modification to work.
This article leaves out Nintendo's most controversial game to date devils Third.
I personally found the cover system really fun in that one compared to at the time most fps games completely lacking one.
They should remake Starfox to the switch 2. Very beautiful game during gamecube days.
Kirby is always ignored or forgotten by people, so good to see it mentioned here.
Play Kirby Canvas Curse on DS, and then play Rainbow Curse on Wii U, they're really fun and unique 'platformers' without any actual jumping.

The annihilation of mandatory installs is a step in the right direction for the next generation of Elite gaming. Hopefully never again will we the consumer pop in an awarding gaming experience just to be intercepted by a long loading bar across the screen for an install. It seems that the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system is more powerful than I had imagined for a home console experience.
We should all be honored. The current generation of consoles have done an amazing job, lasting longer than any of us could have expected. This year marks a new era of gaming. And thanks to the hard workers employed at Nintendo HQ we can leave mandatory installs in the past.
Have a blessed day and happy gaming.

Something wrong with the article. Iwata never said during the conference that the 25GB disc they are using is Blu-Ray, we only assume it is simply because of the identical size.
Maybe Iwata didn't want to mention Blu-Ray because of... you-know-who. But kinda perplexing that he wouldn't mention it, don't you think?
If the next xbox and PS4 have SATA 3 / 6GB/s with USB3.0 and a fast DVD / BlueRay drive with a fast HDD or SSD then I see no problem with optional installs especially if the HDD or SSD is big enough. A 2TB Sata 3.0 / 6GB/s HDD is fast these days and isn't very expensive and with Sony and Microsoft buying in bulk they will get a good discount which would be passed onto the customer. A fast HDD beats any form of fast disk at loading times any day and a SATA 3.0 SSD anhialates the loading speed of a SATA 3.0 HDD and fast DVD / Blue Ray drive combined.
I say instead of making the install mandatory , make it optional and it will keep everybody happy. I prefer have the game on my HDD any day for the shorter loading speeds and less noise of not having a disk spinning.
