Earlier today, Disney announced they were laying off 700 employees of video game subsidiary Disney Interactive. While it was thought that many of these would be those in marketing or the mobile/browser sectors, it seems like some old fashioned game developers are getting the boot as well. The latest victim? Wideload Games, who may be better known as the developer of cult classics Stubbs the Zombie and Guilty Party.
Ugh, that stinks. I've been holding out hope all these years that'd we get a Stubbs 2 one day.

The Mass Effect 'controversy' still makes me furious even now.
Over-reacting to a joke about adoption is one thing, but shamelessly lying about a game's content and completely misrepresenting it just to grab attention is vile, offensive and despicably dishonest.
It never ceases to amaze me that most of these kinds of controversies are started or stoked by people who haven't even seen the content in question.
Man, I'd heard about the terrible Fox News thing with Mass Effect but never watched it in full.... Oh dear lord I facepalmed so many times. Words cannot describe the ignorance of those people. If you're going to do reporting, at least have SOME knowledge of what you're reporting... -_-

This was the first game i got when i got an Xbox. I think i even bought an Xbox just for this game and Halo.
Loved this one, it should get re-released.
