Obviously

If you've been following this since Red left then you should easily understand why people are ticked off.

Terraria fans have every reasons to be mad and ticked off

"and that his PR techniques have “damaged the community” in recent months."

"Users are questioning his claims that family matters kept him away from development of the game if he was able to work with others on a console version"

Exactly...

Carl_Shocker4237d ago (Edited 4237d ago )

Just want to leave this here since the guy explains it so well.

http://www.youtube.com/watc...

As for the people disagreeing you probably don't have a clue what went on when he left do you.

grailly4237d ago

seems like people whining because they don't get free content on a cheap game to me...
If you're complaining about this it's that you spend alot of time on terraria and have already legitimized your purchase. Let the guy do what he wants, and it can't be that hard to mod, can it?

Carl_Shocker4237d ago (Edited 4237d ago )

Oh yeah I'm sorry I forgot anyone that complains is a "whiner" when they speak out over something.

Can't be hard to mod....are you serious, where not all modders you know. Anyway how can people make good mods if he won't release the source for the game...see people like you don't have a clue whats going on

grailly4237d ago

sorry to announce that complaining isn't more glamourous than whining...

I'll admit my mod comment was a bit stupid.

anyway, know that when you bought terraria, you purchased a finished product, you did not pledge for it's kickstarter, you got what you paid for and complaining that you only got *some* more is immature of you.

anyway the problem here is PR, these a developers that never got any PR training, of course they're gonna make mistakes, heck every major company makes big PR mistakes.

Bimkoblerutso4237d ago (Edited 4237d ago )

Look, I'm as big a fan of the game as anyone, but over the past year or so it's gotten two big updates and bunch of smaller updates....all of it FREE. If they want to move on to make a little extra money at this point, I don't really blame them. I mean, I only paid five bucks for the game.

I've always been a big proponent of consumer rights and everything, but in this instance, it truly is just a terrible case of entitlement issues.

rdgneoz34236d ago

@Carl_Shocker "where not all modders you know" - We're, not where.

sorry to announce that complaining isn't more glamourous than whining...

One can carry a a great degree of dignity with a complaint, whereas you'll often find, for example, a spoilt child whining.

It's actually pretty irrelevant what he did, said, or continues to do. The game was $5, one off payment, for what was a full and complete title.

They added additional content, for quite some time, for free. Nobody paid any additional money, over the initial cost. There is absolutely ZERO obligation or need, for him to go back and continue to develop content for a title he is finished with.

NOT one single claim, has any actual merit, outside of maybe, the content being available to all systems, even if PC Gamers have to pay.

Simply put, EVERY PC Gamer who already bought it, should have had MORE than their moneys worth by now, and if not, then that is no failure of the developer, but the consumer himself, for choosing a game they don't enjoy.

Reverent4237d ago (Edited 4237d ago )

I actually bought it last month off of Steam for $10. I have been playing it nonstop since then. I've put WELL over a hundred hours into the game and had a ton of fun. That's a hell of a lot more than I can say for most full $60 retail games these days. I am perfectly satisfied with that purchase.

And guess what? I'm going to play the HELL out of Terraria on my PS3 too. I can't wait to do so in fact. People who are complaining about this seriously need to grow up. More success for Relogic means more support for Terraria and any future titles.

I don't like to stereotype, but the PC community has been doing this SO much lately. Demanding a better version of Dark Souls, Demanding extra content for this and that, and now this... It's making them look like a bunch of immature kids.

BrutallyBlunt4237d ago

This reminds me of comparing Android users to IOS users. Some people want everything for nothing.

scotchmouth4236d ago

Thats a great post. Too bad entitlement syndrome takes away the vision to see that

Moncole4237d ago

They should at least give more content to the PC users.

kostchtchie_4237d ago

why? why should he? the game cost $5 when i got it off steam, and it had so much content, he don't need give them nothing but his middle finger, PC gamers make me sick with there we demand bullshit

smashcrashbash4237d ago

Very true. The man has no obligation to do ANYTHING. If he wants to do this for what ever reason it is his decision not yours. You buying the game for five dollars doesn't make the guy your slave and you the master or anything.Gamers have this sense of entitlement that has become a bad habit among them. What ever he decides to do that is up to him not you. And a word of advise, calling him names and badgering him probably is not the best way to make him change his mind.

Moncole4237d ago

So the people who got it on PC and made the game what it is should get no new content?

GrahamGolden4237d ago

look kid its time to realise G.A.M.E.S sales BETTER on consoles 4 to 1 suck this fact and deal with it.

or go back to a dota game or whatever

Moncole4236d ago

They actually sell a lot more on PC.

Raider694237d ago (Edited 4237d ago )

Well i would like controller support for the pc version!Especially now with BIG PICTURE mode on steam!

Reverent4237d ago

Why would you even want controller support for Terraria?... I'm hoping the console versions have Keyboard and Mouse support.

tee_bag2424237d ago

Mate, He just said why he would want controller support. He is using big picture mode on his TV!

If he's going to use a TV, why would would he want a big a$$ keyboard and mouse sliding around on his lap.

Reverent4236d ago (Edited 4236d ago )

Well personally I've never had such a problem. I play all of my PC games on a 56" screen and it's never bothered me to have a mouse sitting on the arm rest of my couch and a keyboard on my lap. Doesn't do any sliding whatsoever.

This is not what I would call value for money spent. They give you quests in liveservice games to get you "re-engaged" with the monetization schemes or to get you hooked or so you at least spend some extra on skins and loot boxes. Then they dole out paltry points after you have already paid extra for whichever liveservice within a liveservice that you are already paying for. My worry is people can't actually be that stupid to fall for this, can they?

littletad622d ago

Absolutely nothing in this comment makes sense. At all.

anast622d ago (Edited 622d ago )

How does it not make sense? O thy god of reason, shine some evidence upon us. Ryse of Rome, ESO,and AC: Origins are all live service games, between them you can get 275 points. Liveservice games are made to keep people spending. Therefore, Gamepass is a live service and the points are for playing live service games.

It is not my problem that this does not make sense to you, it is absolutely your problem. I mean it is all your problem.

Hate Xbox but comments in every Xbox article 😂 without making sense smh

Bring the evidence and then your emoji might make sense.
