Eurogamer: Remember Terraria, the really popular 2011 indie game that's a bit like a 2D version of Minecraft but not really that similar? It's coming to PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade early next year. That's courtesy of 505 Games and developer Engine Software. The one-man band that made Terraria originally, Andrew Spinks, doesn't appear to be directly involved, but he did supply a happy quote in the press release, so maybe he's overseeing production.
ESTNN says: "If you're looking to get your fix outside of Mojang's popular sandbox, these games are some of the best the genre has to offer."
Let's take a step back into the good old days when Wi-Fi and data were nothing to worry about and look at the very Best Offline iPhone Games.
Xbox Game Pass Quests recently reset for the month of August. So if you try to collect as many Microsoft Rewards points as possible, there's a new set available now.
This is not what I would call value for money spent. They give you quests in liveservice games to get you "re-engaged" with the monetization schemes or to get you hooked or so you at least spend some extra on skins and loot boxes. Then they dole out paltry points after you have already paid extra for whichever liveservice within a liveservice that you are already paying for. My worry is people can't actually be that stupid to fall for this, can they?
great news, best game i played this gen on my PC and hopefully it has all the updates the PC version had, i hope it sells well as the game gives so much
Its great more people will be able to play it but the cursor will be hard to use with an analog stick.
Amazing game, though I can't imagine it being as nice to play with a controller. Interested to see how they make it work.
So he can let another developer do a PSN/XBLA release and even work with them but he dosen't want another person to continue the PC version or even work on it himself.
Instead he'd rather use the "family excuse" and stop working on the game even though he apparently only worked 4 hours a few days on the game while working from home, while his new born son is just in the next room. I mean I don't understand how you can use the family excuse when you only work a few hours a week, at home while your son is probably right next to you. Some dads have to work two jobs when they have a baby and are hardly ever home to see there new born son/daughter...THAT'S when you can use the family excuse not when you work for yourself, work small hours, work from home and probably could work on the game while holding your son at the same time. Sorry to be blunt it's basic logic...
This game could of been more amazing if he stuck by the promises he made us on the fourm...so many ideas he had that would of been great to see.
Why dosen't he just let someone continue his work...I honestly think he's ticked off over Starbound and how he's been left out of the loop on that.
Just picked it up on Steam for like 3 bucks...Booyah..looks real fun.
