This guy is obviously someone that modifies hardware, that's not a new 360 controller, it's a mod.

Just look at the room itself and all the things in it, like you did, and it's easy to tell, even his chair is modded.

I can see how people are getting excited however just look at the dam thing. I agree with you it looks like a mirror/very reflective screen also this mirror/screen is in a really uncomfortable and odd place if it was to have touch screen (pointless having another screen without it). My guess it has something to do with developing games and not a new controller/console/box

Smartglass was made to "compete" with the wii-u, though, it's in another level, more for people who use twitter and FB on their phones and want to have everything "connected" with their console, than a gamepad with screen

Vita is supposedly the answer coming from Sony, but no one is going to pay $250 for a controller with screen for their PS3s

That's not "Sony's answer". That feature was announced along with the Vita before we even knew what the Wii U was.

And it's not a $250 controller because that's not its only feature. It's an entire multimedia gaming system on its own that can be played anywhere at any time, not just in front of the TV in the same room. The Wii U gamepad is nothing like it.

looks a bit bulky lol, i feel like any controller with a screen should stay away from the Wii U design and just be modeled after the Vita. the vita or anything similar seems to be a good place to start when it comes to making controllers with big screens, still not sure why Wii U's controller is so big.

Because the WIi U pad is designed ergonomically to feel comfortable in the hand, and handle full console controls with full joystick, triggers, and a larger screen.

My guess is that it's some sort of debugger controller or something along those lines. Valve is a smart company, and there is no way they would produce something so hideous, and what looks to be very uncomfortable.

It looks uncomfortable, but when I hold my 360 controller, it seems that the spot where the screen is wouldn't hinder the "comfortablyness". I don't know if it's a prototype for their new console. However I do have faith in Valve, and in whatever they're attempting.

I like the Dreamcast with the VMU card in the controller, it was fun because when playing Tony Hawk 2. If you mess up, it told you that you suck or something else, don't think any games will do that now.

That's the ugliest brick I've ever seen! One thing that's noticeable is that its on top of a PC which could be some type of mod or home-brewed portable console. Sorry but valve would make a better console than anyone! They figured how to quickly type with a controller and created the first good browser for a controller! When a pc company can do this better than a console company They are ready!

If we have to have controllers like this next gen, Sony should just do a psvita re-design, that is a slightly bigger version with bigger more DS3-like analogue sticks, also big-a-fy the face buttons more to ds3 standards, add either 2 more buttons to face or 2 extra shoulder buttons, & then just work it out so no compatability issues whatsoever....and importantly, a bigger, better, longer lasting battery, & possibly some kind of battery saver mode when using it with PS4.....Not sure how, but maybe screen turns off until you need it for something & then you just touch screen to turn on when needed. Otherwise, 1.5-2hrs playtime.

And, a slightly bigger psvita is still a better size than a tablet, or that biggish looking Wii-U thing.
