The PlayStation 2 Ratchet & Clank games have sold millions of copies worldwide. That might be surprising if you consider the series follows the exploits of a gun-loving humanoid cat-thing-person and his diminutive robot friend as they travel strange galaxies and combat even stranger foes. No, Call of Duty or Grand Theft Auto it’s not. If you were to judge it by its aesthetics alone, the vibrant colours, and cartoon-ish graphics might lead you to believe they are a series of *gasp* kids games made solely to be played by kids. Of course, if you have any passing experience with these games you know this absolutely is not the case (but then you probably don’t need to read anymore reviews and have already bought the collection). Digging just a little bit deeper, it’s easy to see that the Ratchet & Clank games feature some of the best game design and writing seen on the PS2. Thanks to the HD Collection, which includes Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, that’s now also the case on the PS3.

Kotaku - The announcement of Darksiders II: Definitive Edition coming to PlayStation 4 later this year got Kotaku wondering if we're seeing way more direct ports this generation. While it sure feels that way, I've compiled a list of them from last generation, and it doesn't seem all that different.
Funny how that pic highlights a port coming to 8th gen, a SECOND time from last gen. Face it, this gen is going to be WORSE, no matter how you spin it.
People tend to forget the PSOne generation, every SNES classic was getting a PSOne port back then.... and they didn't even improve graphics it was the exact same SNES Games with an anime cutscene threw in as the opening
The holidays are here, and we asked around for some cherished gaming memories during these festive times. Got any of your own?
Oddly enough, I play The Grinch on PS1 every December. One of the best licensed titles of the time.
I remember getting the original Legend of Zelda as a kid. First time I laid eyes on that gold beauty I was beside myself. Years later getting the SNES was a great memory too. I miss being a kid sometimes. I hope to envoke that nostalgia with my children.
I think I have only got a game system for Christmas twice and that was the Original Xbox and PSP 1000. Both were amazing when I got them back in the day. But I think my favorite console I ever got was for a birthday and that was the Nintendo 64 with Mario Kart 64, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, and Army Men Sarge Heroes. But all of these were unexpected gifts that were so awesome opening up and being surprised. Also I have all of Nintendo and Sonys consoles and only the Original Xbox from Microsoft.
When i got my PS2 for Christmas, i wasnt expecting one due to low supply. Played Dynasty Warriors 2 all day!
These are some of my favorite PS2 games, and one of my favorite video game franchises
Fantastic collection, my favourite Ratchet & Clank game from that collection is Going Commando, but overall it's A Crack in Time.
Never played this, with all my years. Must buy for me
$30 well spent
Loving this collection. "Just one more planet.", I say. "Whoops, just went through half the game."
Can't wait for Gladiator HD.
