however. The obvious so called better deal isnt what a sony fan thinks it is as in the writers words, it's whatever sounds best to you or if you only have 1 choice then thats it. Both are incredible deals to me and im very happy as code veronica was and is still my fav Rez evil game. Yes it would of been nice if both sets were the same but since they arent so what again their both great so DONT WORRY BE HAPPY.

edit ya know why this site has become a joke at times? Reply with a piece that says all is good but little but hurt fans of a different console than mine will automaticaly disagree bc my name is xgamer. lol sad sad little kids. I could write a piece and say that grass is green and still get a disagree. hahaha.

Kurylo3d4243d ago

I dont really know what you got against this site. Alls the guy did is list out the facts. I actually wish more articles were like this. I mean as a resident evil fan.. i would rather have access to 1, 2 and 3. I gotta agree with the author.. its a better deal. Xbox fans kinda get the shaft on this one since none of those are on 360.

StanSmith4243d ago

You probably got disagrees because you called out the article for reading like it had been written by a child, yet you then proceed to butcher the English language yourself.

Just saying...

TheXgamerLive4243d ago

in fact i see so may sony fans saying they already have 1 2 and 3 so to have it again is a waste and you dont get code veronica so again each one has its better deal points and its always up to the buyer as both are more than worth it.

The site trendygames as many others will always write and choose a biased responce based on there fav console. Both good deals thus the correct article would be "here's what you get in each, choose your fav"..end of story as there is no better deal.....unless your a fan boy.

knowyourstuff4243d ago

Before you start criticizing the article for how well it is or isn't written, try upgrading your English and grammar skills to something above a 2nd grade level so people will take you seriously in the future.

The article is an opinion piece obviously, no one cares what your opinion is when you have a clear bias and no ability to think objectively.

fuzion17c4243d ago

Dafuq? XGamer mad. The article itself says that Code Veronica can be purchased on PSN for $19.99.

BDSE4243d ago

@XGamer love the criticism that the article is poorly written when your comment literally stings my eyes with its terrible syntax and grammar.

Well done!

hkgamer4243d ago

I agree with you.
It was a poorly written article.
I would like to say that degeneration was a pretty good movie in my opinion. But how this article was written badly was that it made no sense.

He clearly went through all the hardwork to find the prices of each game, but then suddenly says that movie sucks so it is priceless and it is better to have a PS3 then a 360.

I mean I could in a way go for the 360 version because it has the movie on a disk and then purchase the RE1-3 on the PSN store. He is meant to be comparing the boxset, not the console itself.

Side note: Has it ever been mentioned that RE6 is on 2 disks on the 360?

tordavis4243d ago

If you have both consoles you have to spend $19.99 to get what you don't have. So actually, if you are a dual console owner, it's better to get the Xbox bundle and then buy RE1, 2 and 3 on PSN. You end up getting everything and the movie. If you buy the PS3 bundle and buy Code Veronica on PSN for $19.99, you are still without the movie. I'm assuming this article is informational for single console owners, but he's targeting multiconsole owners who can't decide which one to get.

svoulis4243d ago

You do realize the disagrees are from your ignorance and not fanboys. You are only putting yourself deeper in the hole as well.

For example. The article was not written by a "child" and it certainly didn't seem like it was.

You are just upset that the author said the PS3 version was better because...well...it comes with Resident evil 1-6. The 360 does not. It's that simple. If you were going to buy a box set such as Alien Anthology, would you be ok with only getting the first 2 movies because they were simply the best one, and still call it an anthology? I wouldn't and I think everyone can agree.

Long post short. Even though you are getting a good amount of games for the price on both. The PS3 offers more games. More importantly the games that put Resident Evil on the map.

I don't think either one is a particularly good deal in that they should have stuffed everything they could onto a disc or two and then sold it instead of making something stupid like that gives the finger to people who may not have the chance to get everything and now they still don't, or could have had everything to play on one console and now they can't.

rolandfurious4243d ago

I agree, pixelsword. Bundles like this just seem to add fuel to the so-called "fanboy/girl" "console war" nonsense.

ALLWRONG4243d ago

Don't PS3 fans usually boycott everything from Capcom?

Why the flip flop?

Xperia_ion4242d ago

People are just saying the PS3 choice is better, doesn't mean they're going to buy it.

andrewsqual4243d ago

Who cares, all the games bar RE6 are digital in these "Collections". I would take a reprint of RE1-4 on disc anyday. But if 5 or 6 even touch the other games in it, then go fuck yourself.

Carl_Shocker4243d ago

Are they serious...they couldn't throw in Code Veronica for the PS3, what was the point of that, is it just so MS don't get p*ssed off, your getting DLC earlier isn't that enough.

Not like I'm buying this anyway but I just feel like it's a silly move.

ABizzel14243d ago

I agree Carl from Johnny Bravo.

If you have PS+ then you already have Resident Evil 1 - 3. They should have put Code Veronica HD in the PS3 version as well. I would have though about buying this had it been included.

Carl_Shocker4243d ago

"I agree Carl from Johnny Bravo."

Well look at that, someone clicked on who he was...finally :)

rolandfurious4243d ago (Edited 4243d ago )

Ha, great show!

ABizzel14243d ago

@Carl

The episode with him and Vandala (The Talk Show superhero) came on Boomerang recently, so that's how I remembered who it was.

hkgamer4243d ago

I actually think the 360 is a better deal, I liked the movie and you also get Code Veronica X.

The article was just poorly written and it should have mentioned that PS+ members get RE1-3 already.

Well, I guess this is a US thing only, so it wont matter to me. I also can't play PSone games on my PS3 so even if this package does get released it would be pointless for me.

+ Show (1) more replyLast reply 4243d ago
NYC_Gamer4243d ago

Both packages are full of solid content either way

adorie4243d ago

if by content, you mean "fecal matter" then I totally agree.

Gamecould be good, but Capcom doesn't deserve to thrive any more.

For the disagrees; "come at me bro"

BringingTheThunder4243d ago

how is re4 or re5 fecal matter?

GrahamGolden4243d ago

its obvious they doing this for the game to sale so they can brag later "hey gamers look how much our game sales"

ape0074243d ago

im with the 360 version, cause i like achievements more than trophies but ps3 is awesome too

BringingTheThunder4243d ago

that sounds like an answer a politician would give

SovereignSnaKe4243d ago

-specifically that greasy car salesman Mit Romney!

ShaunCameron4243d ago

If it wasn't a multidisc game, I'd take the 360 version. Agreed on Achievements>>>>&g t;>>>>>>>& gt;>>>>>>Trop hies.

pixelsword4243d ago

I'm curious ape; how are achievements better than trophies? From what I can tell, they both pretty much do the same thing, except there's a ranking system for the trophies (if that matters to anyone).

TheXgamerLive4243d ago

because they also have a point value. for example i have a 21000 plus gamer score but yes they both have their own ranking system. He just prefers the points i guess.

ape0074242d ago (Edited 4242d ago )

well it's more of an opinion than a fact, some like trophies more and some like achievements

dark-hollow4243d ago

the ps3 for me by default for having the first three RE games.

Run_bare4243d ago

I actually want to buy the PS3 version, I am not sure if it's available for Australia, does anyone know?

The prevalence of parrying: Why is it so popular?

Parrying has been creeping into more games, with almost every high-profile title of the last few years featuring it in some way.  Why?

phoenixwing32d ago (Edited 32d ago )

i understand the authors frustration i'm not the best at parrying in games. not that i can't complete a game that requires it but it is a definite harder thing for me than other kinds of techniques in games. which might be the main reason it's so heavily added in games nowadays. want to make your game challenging without having to do a lot of work? just add a parry boss. (what i mean by parry boss is a boss you have to beat by parrying such that their attacks will kill you otherwise)

Dudeson31d ago (Edited 31d ago )

I always think it's fine as long as such games also have the roll/dodge panic button. But I understand the will to parry, it seems so cinematic in a fight when you pull it off.

I’d have taken a few of those out. Prefer Sonic over Sonic 2. Outrun should be in there. Maybe even Pong as millions of people had fun with that even if it was repetitive. Final Fight pipped any Streets of Rage game, although Streets of Rage had the better soundtrack. Too many to list l guess. To me, retro gaming is the 1980s, maybe going into early 1990s.

Popsicle35d ago

Agree that the generational gap is too broad to really make a strong list. Need to tighten the years a bit. Hard to compare Pac Man with N64 games.
