Resident Evil 6 Anthology On PS3 Or RE6 Archives On Xbox 360 – Which Is The Better Deal?

When Resident Evil 6 launches on October 2nd, it will be accompanied by two different special editions in the form of Resident Evil 6 Anthology on PS3 and Resident Evil 6 Archives on Xbox 360. Both of these will retail for $89.99 and they include quite a few different Resident Evil games (and even a movie) along with them. For those of you who own both a PS3 and Xbox 360 and want to know which is the better deal, we break it down for you.

however. The obvious so called better deal isnt what a sony fan thinks it is as in the writers words, it's whatever sounds best to you or if you only have 1 choice then thats it. Both are incredible deals to me and im very happy as code veronica was and is still my fav Rez evil game. I mean as a resident evil fan.. i would rather have access to 1, 2 and 3. I gotta agree with the author.. its a better deal. Xbox fans kinda get the shaft on this one since none of those are on 360.

The site trendygames as many others will always write and choose a biased responce based on there fav console. Both good deals thus the correct article would be "here's what you get in each, choose your fav"..end of story as there is no better deal.....unless your a fan boy.

I would like to say that degeneration was a pretty good movie in my opinion. But how this article was written badly was that it made no sense.

He clearly went through all the hardwork to find the prices of each game, but then suddenly says that movie sucks so it is priceless and it is better to have a PS3 then a 360.

I mean I could in a way go for the 360 version because it has the movie on a disk and then purchase the RE1-3 on the PSN store. He is meant to be comparing the boxset, not the console itself.

Side note: Has it ever been mentioned that RE6 is on 2 disks on the 360?

If you have both consoles you have to spend $19.99 to get what you don't have. So actually, if you are a dual console owner, it's better to get the Xbox bundle and then buy RE1, 2 and 3 on PSN. You end up getting everything and the movie. If you buy the PS3 bundle and buy Code Veronica on PSN for $19.99, you are still without the movie. I'm assuming this article is informational for single console owners, but he's targeting multiconsole owners who can't decide which one to get.

You are just upset that the author said the PS3 version was better because...well...it comes with Resident evil 1-6. The 360 does not. It's that simple. If you were going to buy a box set such as Alien Anthology, would you be ok with only getting the first 2 movies because they were simply the best one, and still call it an anthology? I wouldn't and I think everyone can agree.

Long post short. Even though you are getting a good amount of games for the price on both. The PS3 offers more games. More importantly the games that put Resident Evil on the map.

I don't think either one is a particularly good deal in that they should have stuffed everything they could onto a disc or two and then sold it instead of making something stupid like that gives the finger to people who may not have the chance to get everything and now they still don't, or could have had everything to play on one console and now they can't.

If you have PS+ then you already have Resident Evil 1 - 3. They should have put Code Veronica HD in the PS3 version as well. I would have though about buying this had it been included.

I'm curious ape; how are achievements better than trophies? From what I can tell, they both pretty much do the same thing, except there's a ranking system for the trophies (if that matters to anyone).

I was about to question why they were putting out a different special edition for each console, but I had forgotten that RE 1, 2, and 3 aren't available for Xbox in any capacity (I think), so it makes sense that they would try to pull in the movies to help cover that (plus making Code Veronica X exclusive to the 360 special edition).

Well, the 360 version is going to feature screen tearing and the PS3 will be fully v-synced just like every MT Framework game made. I'm getting the PS3 version.

RE Code Veronica HD was a terrible HD port, and Degeneration was a terrible CG movie. RE1-3 however are preserved in their original forms and remain classics. No brainer. The only thing that would have sweetened the deal even more would have been to include Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles on the PS3 side.

You can get all the what the 360 version offers plus timed DLC.

So you'll be sacrificing some HD remakes. Its up to the person really.

If ur new to the series and own both consoles then obviously ps3 is the way to go like mass effect on 360 is the way to go. But if u played them all before like I'm sure 90% of us have then I say go with 360. Either way I'm not buying this edition of the game ill stick with standard

Xbox is the way to go for Mass Effect because your character carries over from the first game, but why would PlayStation necessarily be the way to go for Resident Evil? No data carries over from the previous games. If anything, the Xbox 360 would be the better choice for the timed DLC.

Resi 1-3 & C.Veronica may be classics ...but I rinsed these games on original release.... the only way I'd want them again is if they were remakes with the resi 6 engine.....

Degeneration is basic at best, actors voices just like like PS1 FMV's ....and the only worth while game to revisit is resi 4 HD, 5 maybe...and 6 is as yet an unknown quantity for me.

So both bundles are kinda whack IMO
