While the Wii slowly bows out of the console race to make room for its successor, Mistwalkers’ The Last Story proves that the little white box still has some fire in it.
It has been 10 years since Xenoblade arrived in the US, we look back at how the game almost never showed up if not for a group of dedicated fans.
I wish The Last Story would make a comeback.I played it years before I got around to Xenoblade. Mainly because of the scalping going on because of Xeno's limited run. It took me a few tries to get into it but once I did I couldn't put it down. A Wii hidden gem for sure.
I wish the Last Story get a Switch remaster or remake. That game deserves a second chance
These JRPGs stand up on their own.
For the Wii’s 15th birthday, here’s a list of 15 Wii games that deserve ports or sequels.
Rating something out of 5 is beyond stupid.
Game A that is 3.5 and game B that is 3.5 could be so far apart in how good that actually are but you wouldn't know that by their rating. According to them, they are the same.
If you go out of 100 then it's obvious..
7/10 isn't the same as this 7/10.....but if you go by 100 then you rate A.) 71/100 B.) 79/100
This ^ is a more accurate way to differentiate between 7/10 between two different games.
How don't reviewers comprehend this ?
Most forms of media (movies, books, music, etc) aren't rated on a 100 point scale and in the end we just chose this 10 point system because it best reflects how we wanted to review games.
Scores are dumb anyways but they get people talking. We weren't even going to score games at first but people want to see a number with a game so we settled on this.
In the end, we don't feel like a 3.5 says everything that needs to be said about the game. That's why there's a full review attached to the score. The 3.5 is just there to say "It's not bad. It's good. It has problems that hold it back from being great. Read on if you want to know more."
Thanks for the feedback about the review scale.
I totally agree, its the reason why in the good old G4 days, I loved Judgement day and to this very day despise X-Play
