I just can't believe those graphics. If this is still PS3/360 looking game, what is in store for next generation?! It's just going to be amazing!

I don't know why SE is holding up Versus, by the time they want to release it, it won't be the best looking game (announced)...

blind-reaper4246d ago

^^^^^^ n4g censored my comment because of "bad language" give me a break... lol ^^^^^^

blind-reaper4242d ago

Looks f^^^^g AMAZING, I just hope they don't go light in cutscenes and storyline, by dumbing it down for the "new" audiences.

In KOJIMA I trust

Dark3604246d ago (Edited 4246d ago )

There's a Xbox 360 logo at the end of the trailer, so yes.

Edit 1: Disagrees!!!!! LOL

Edit 2: Trailer With English Subs.

http://www.youtube.com/watc...

WOW Look at the disagrees!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

dirthurts4246d ago

Yes there is an xbox 360 logo.
Mutliplatform games are great. More people get to play them.
BUT! Fanboys will flip out because it's not exclusive, hence the disagrees.
If you watch the interview, the demo is even running on a pc. So...maybe even a pc release.
I hope so, as I would like everyone to get to play the game. It's more sales for the developers, and that's better for the gamers.

Hellsvacancy4246d ago

So then what is the point in there being 2 to 3 different consoles on the market? they may aswel just make 1 console if games are going multiplat

dirthurts4246d ago

The point? Consumer choice.
If there is one console, then there is no reason for them to get any better, and no reason for the companies to not milk us for every dime. You think it's bad now? You would hate the one console market. Competition is good. Go study some economics or something?

BrutallyBlunt4246d ago

@Hellsvacancy
"So then what is the point in there being 2 to 3 different consoles on the market?"

What's the point of having more than one HDTV on the market? Why have different DVD players? The reasons are many, different quality, different features, different controls and so on. We don't need just one company to supply the platform, otherwise we'd all be paying $600 for a game console.

He's much older in this. Wonder if that means we'll have Snake as well instead of just Big Boss. Maybe an earlier mission for Snake?

DEM GFX ARE FREAKING INSANE!

snake-OO4246d ago

I think psycho mantis is in the game as well. That guy with the fucked up face resembles phsyco mantis. And if you remember in mgs1 mantis says to snake i new big boss.

seanpitt234246d ago

Welcome to the next gen people

Deadpool6164246d ago

Technically it's still this gen.

seanpitt234246d ago

This is run on pc so don't expect it to look like that on ps360 but what we saw their is next gen so expect this to what ps4 and xbox720 games to look like

MaxXAttaxX4246d ago

Well, Kojima did say it won't look much different running on PS3.

seanpitt234246d ago

I believe that when I see it!! Look what dice said the console version isnt that far behind the pc version in bf3 and we all know it was a generation behind they need to sell there game so they are going to say all platforms will look roughly the same..... please

MaxXAttaxX4245d ago

DICE said "not far behind". Meaning still behind.

Kojima said the game was running on a PC with "specs comparable to the PS3".
Not saying it'll be exactly the same, but it won't be like BF3 which relies on huge multiplayer maps and whatnot.

hkgamer4246d ago

Graphics look pretty decent.
Surprised the Japanese developers have created such a fantastic engine, it does need to be careful not to make everything look plastic though. Happened with alot of the first gen 360/PS3 games.
Still love the character models though, they make MGS4 character models look like PS2 games

4246d ago
one2thr4246d ago (Edited 4246d ago )

@ Hkgamer
Just wanted to be heard, right?...
Had a massive headache after finishing that post, yes?...
Did you think about what you were typing, no?...
How long were you a MGS fan, a couple of minutes or so?...

hkgamer4246d ago

might aswell use up my last comment here.

I mentioned these pics/trailer makes MGS4 models like PS2 ones.
Not saying it actually looks like PS2 models, but just seems last gen compared to what we seeing right now.
This trailer actually makes most games look last gen to be honest.

chukamachine4246d ago

Just wow at the disagree's.

Most japanese games look poor in relation to other dev's. You've heard many times even japanese devs stating they have fallen behind.

As for this is what it looks like on PS3/PC.

Those rocks look tessellated, oops not on PS3/360 they aint.

Yes the game looks good and so does the engine, but as hkgamer stated, you can make everything look to shiny, plastic.

Admiralsnake, your name says it all.

Fan are we.

Sheep these days.

MaxXAttaxX4246d ago (Edited 4246d ago )

1. What does Kojima Productions have to do with other Japanese devs that may have fallen behind?

2. Shiny plastic? This isn't the Unreal engine. It's raining and it looks wet. Better than almost any other game I've seen to date.

3. Kojima said it was running on a PC with specs comparable to the PS3.

hkgamer4246d ago

Sorry, must have had alot of misunderstanding with my comment. I said the graphics were pretty decent(amazing).
I mentioned about the graphics when it shows something wet, sometimes it can look a little plastic like other first gen PS3/360 games. I was a little worried that some things may look a little weird.
I know it is raining with a lot of mud so that's how it is meant to look, just saying they need to be careful.
Character model in MGS4 were great, but they do look lifeless compared to this trailer. I said they look like PS2 models because this game is making 90% of all games look last gen right now.

@one2thr
How long have I been a MGS fan?
not a crazy one that knows everything, I have played through the 1st and 4th games countless amounts of time.
2nd and 3rd game probably 3-4 times max.

Actually MGS4 was the only time I spent so much time on a game, think I got all the emblems apart from the chicken one.

/mindless typing just so that people wont misunderstand what i say

That trailer was amazing, loved how the cloak moves along with the wind. Rain just gives the trailer a MGS2 tanker feel.

Clarence4246d ago

WTH "Surprised the Japanese developers have created such a fantastic engine"

What was the failure rate of the 360
What about Bethesda. They wish they could get this type of graphics out of consoles
I guess you forgot about windows vista

@ chukamachine

Most japanese games look poor in relation to other dev's. You've heard many times even japanese devs stating they have fallen behind.

GT5 still looks amazing.
The New DMC looks great
What about Dead Space
Ni no Kuni looks amazing

Still waiting on Konami to put the MGS Collection back on digital stores

Nyxus335d ago

I know right? And rerelease the games for current gen systems while they're at it.

just_looken335d ago

Do not worry they will give use those pichincko remakes for top dollar soon.

Metal gear solid 3 in the fox engine looked/ran amazing but was sealed away :(

Sarcasm335d ago

I know re-makes and stuff have been played to death this generation.

But damn I wouldn't mind an MGS4 remake

gold_drake334d ago

i played it quite recently and it holds up very well

CantThinkOfAUsername334d ago

It does, but a remake will be available on platforms other than PS3.

itsmebryan335d ago

I thought the series would have sold more over all these years and different releases.

Ready4nxtgen335d ago

Yeah I would have thought over 150 Mil. Something.missing here

Nyxus335d ago

Metal Gear isn't that big, and there hasn't been a new release in years. Also MGS2 and 3 are still missing from digital storefronts.

shinoff2183335d ago

5 mgs games in total if I'm not mistaken. 59 60 million seems about right. Mgs is dope to some of us but it would be hard for a lot of regulars to understand

ChasterMies335d ago

I would love to buy MGS4 but it’s still a PS3 exclusive.

JEECE335d ago

Although there are notable exceptions (GTA, certain first-party Nintendo games, Gran Turismo), as a rule games didn't sell as much in earlier generations as they have in the past few generations. So a lot of PS1-PS2 era titles that are viewed as seminal games didn't actually sell all that much by today's standards (yes, despite the large install bases of those systems lol). I remember a similar surprised reaction happening a few months ago when Square announced the total overall sales of Final Fantasy VII.

Deathdeliverer335d ago

Some of the best fun you can have online was the first metal gear online and to a lesser, but still fun to an extent, MGO2. The magazine, CQC, stealth, and tactical play Vs real players is just a blast. Not to mention playing Snake vs everyone? Amazing. The game will never be the same without Hideo, but Konami can definitely update what’s already there and take my money.

ceyoga334d ago

You wouldn't be talking about the OG MGO that was included with MGS3:S would you? It's rare running into another former player. Those were some of the best memories of any online game I had.

Deathdeliverer334d ago

Yes my man!! That seems like the BEST game that nobody played! Tranquilizer pistol, drag the body to a corner and lay a girly mag right by their head so they wake up and instantly get caught by the mag. You could get real toxic if you wanted at that point, but man that game was incredible! The only thing annoying was that damn Konami ID

Kojima looks back on Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes on its 9th anniversary

Hideo Kojima: "After the launch, many people seemed to expect GZ to be a full game."

metalgearinformer.com
-Foxtrot393d ago

People would have gotten “your intention” if you stated it from the beginning but people didn’t want smaller episode like MGS games.

He should have just focused on MGSV and work Ground Zeroes into that game instead

I_am_Batman393d ago

I don't remember there being confusion over Ground Zeroes being a full game. But then again I was just starting to catch up on the MGS series as a whole at that point so I might've not paid enough attention or simply have forgotten that there was confusion about it. I bet the whole Moby Dick Studios thing didn't help the casual observer understand what the hell was going on though.

I only got both MGSV games when Phantom Pain was already out and I kinda agree that it probably would've sucked if I had to wait one and a half years to pay The Phantom Pain after Ground Zeroes.

jambola393d ago

I'm sorry what now?
Who expected that?
If it was meant to be episodic or an experiment for that, the price should / would have reflected that

MadLad393d ago (Edited 393d ago )

To be fair, there really wasn't enough content to actually justify even the smaller price tag. It was still half the cost of a full game, yet a 20th of the content.

I can't stand these paid glorified demos.

CrimsonWing69393d ago

Honestly, it was basically similar to the FF15 Duscae demo. My theory is he was taking too damn long to make a game and Konami was like, “Sell what you got!” It just has kind of a scummy corporate “let’s sell this demo for half the price of a full game,” feel to it.

That’s just my take on it. I love Kojima and I love the MGS series, but this and 5 were the biggest let downs, ever. Clearly unfinished work forced out because, in Konami’s defense, Kojima was going over budget and taking forever on the project.

MIDGETonSTILTS17393d ago

Lol, I loved Ground Zeroes, but releasing that level at $40 during a dryspell for games at the onset of the new gen was an obvious cash grab.

I handed over my money happily, but plenty of non-diehard fans were understandably letdown by the scale of what $40 bought them.

Chocoburger393d ago

The price was originally $40 for the physical PS4 and XBO versions, but due to controversy it dropped down to $30 before launch. And as much as I love GZ, and even bought it twice, I do agree that $30 was too much. It should have launched at $20.

https://kotaku.com/konami-c...

staticall393d ago

I don't know how about anyone else. But i've bought it for $20 1 week after release (or $15, don't remember the exact exchange rate) and spent 24 hours beating every mission and getting all the steam achievements. I was 100% aware what the game was about beforehand though and i did enjoy every second of it. I knew it was a work in progress and it was probably the best and less restrictive game i've played in a long time (and controls were just perfect).

Even previous MGS games didn't gave me that much freedom as Ground Zeroes did.
Love stealth? Got you covered.
Want to speedrun? Here's the timer.
Wanna kill everyone? No problem, grab that AK then and let's party.
Wanna cause chaos? Just tell Pequod where to land.
Love to drive? Then go ahead.
Miss Raiden? Then play as him.

I wish they would continue MGSV, finish remaining chapters and add more missions as DLCs, there was SO many options... A poor man still can dream...
