Rare developed an enhanced version of GoldenEye 007 for Xbox Live Arcade and the Wii's Virtual Console. Unfortunately, Nintendo prevented its release at the last minute, ensuring that no one would get to play it. While their decision was bad for gamers, did Nintendo avoid a a marketing disaster? And with the release of the Wii U, is there hope that the game might finally be released?
Rare has had an astonishing journey since being founded in 1985. But of the 125 titles released to date, which are the 7 best Rare games?
As Microsoft takes popular Xbox exclusives to other consoles, James Bond FPS Goldeneye 007 should get similar treatment on PS5.
Maybe it is time to just let Goldeneye go. People keep e-begging for this game and it came back in various iterations; remastered and original and in the end it was just meh. The game was a product of its time like Perfect Dark and Timesplitters.
The Xbox 360 launched in North America 18 years ago, and is now officially old enough to buy you a drink in Europe.
Great platform, and many of its games (not bc) still hold up well to this day. Like the PS3, I keep a 360 hooked up for those games you can't play any other way.
The last gasp of greatness from XBox, you are missed, except the RROD that was lame, but amazing exclusives until the Kinect dropped.
I really enjoyed my X360, some great exclusives on it. Used to play the shit out ot Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, two masterpieces
Perfect Dark (the XBLA version) is amazing, and I'm sure GE would be just as great as it was back in the day (with added features, of course).
"Nintendo, Microsoft, Rare, and Activision, the current holders of the Bond license,"
Wait do they mean they all own just that one game or the entire Bond license? Last I check, PS3 got a 007 game.
Anyway, i still have a copy for N64.
Its a business, cant blame them for doing something that they felt was important in a business aspect. I still have my N64 and Goldeneye, so if I ever get nostalgic I can go back and play it like I originally did all of those years ago.
oh well. Goldeneye: Source is probably better anyways
