to be honest i thought the demo gameplay was kind of shallow and boring.

Irishguy954264d ago (Edited 4264d ago )

I think the demo is one of the best games i've played in a while.

One thing that annoys me though, I'd really love to see my K/D ratio. I've been get between 15-25 Kills to just a few(1-5) deaths and sometimes(rarely) no deaths at all. I'm surprised how balanced the classes are as well, as I kick bawls with all of them, I'm worst with the tank though. Was surprised how good the destroyer one was when I started using it

I also think the Health Regen pickl up should be removed. I feel like i'm cheating when using it, but I have to make sure the other team don't get it because who ever gets it is basically invincible for a short period if they are skilled enough to get out of the line of fire for a few seconds. You can take on a whole team though with that on

colonel1794264d ago

not the best game, but really fun. Hopefully they make Deadpool game even better. I have never enjoyed a Transformers game so much. I will definitely buy the game.

Zha1tan4264d ago (Edited 4264d ago )

Its one of those games were how deepness of the game is soley defined on how good you are at it.

@Irishguy95

exactly, 95% of people who i see playing the demo jsut run around and dont understand or bother to learn the class differences and what type of gameplay style they are atuned for.

The complexity of the combat in this game is more than any other shooter out there at the minute, it has some pretty inventive weapons aswell.

Its one of the most tactical & skill based shooters to come out this year and people say its shallow when they go off and play the same tired old modern day war games in repetition.

Irishguy954264d ago (Edited 4264d ago )

Could be I suppose, for people that aren't good at it they won't realize the intelligent attack patterns involved in things. Most people I seem to face just don't have any pattern, they run around shooting at things until they die, without any thought into their escape if they mess up, first assault/Stealth and when they should transform.

For example, when using the car, you can make it seem like you are running away, they will follow you, you will be invisible and get the upper hand straight away/ No one seems to use the L2 button either which is extremely useful in throwing an enemies aiming completely off you and confusing them(Jump, L2 over their heads while transforming/Good retreat)

Then their is the jet, L2 in any direction while transforming, fly out of a window and come back in a different door or window/ Very simple and effective way to get a free hit on enemies. With the tank, simply back off and wait to see if they follow you into a room etc, if they do, use sword/annihilate. The destroying has it's shield which you can use to retreat by turning it on and off, along with it's cannons

I feel the combat in this game is all about your movements anyway, just moving in an unpredictable way and using a little tactics to throw your enemy off is what it's about. It keeps getting compared to 3rd person shooters like Gears of war and stuff and complaints about it's lack of a 'snap too' cover system. It plays nothing like those though due to the vehicle things and fluidity of movement in it

Kill Crow4264d ago

to be fair, he didn't say its' the best game ever ... he just said it was the best Transformer game ever ...

krisq4263d ago

Don't you know It's mandatory that title needs to have a quote taken out of context and with a little spin?

/s

Zha1tan4264d ago

Its one of the only high health skill based games to come out this year, finally a shooter than doesnt give instant gratification one shot kills to any moron who can pray and spray (BF3).

Instead you require a good steady aim and good movement making good use of the dodge function and most important your class specific abilities and you have to actually learn the ins and outs of the weapons. I can see why people who are pretty bad at games all round are really not going to like it.

There isnt enough completely arcade shooters anymore, everything is halfway between realism and arcade.

MilkMan4263d ago

..That's why its on my "bins" list.
There is nothing going here that even got my d!ck wet.
Looks like a Michael Bay flick. Yuck.

MidnytRain4263d ago

"There is nothing going here that even got my d!ck wet."

What does that even mean???

MidnytRain4260d ago

Yes, the smartest two-year-old you've ever met. That aside, I'm familiar with your expression, but how you use it confuses me. Sorry.

so about that digital """future" ""...

skycaptin52303d ago (Edited 2303d ago )

It's a real shame, Fall and War were truly remarkable games.

Cobra9512303d ago

You can always redownload titles you already bought, even delisted ones. And while the digital future may bring downsides like this one, it is inevitable nevertheless.

Krysis2303d ago

I grew with you but you will never convince idiots they are wrong, that's what makes them idiots.

ChrisW2303d ago

Exactly, they can always be redownloaded!!!

I just downloaded Transformers: Devastation and War for Cybertron to check.

The article said it's because of Activision's license expiring. Unless there's a huge nasty internal disagreement about that sort of stuff, this delisting will hopefully not be permanent.

firelogic2303d ago

If you bought it, you can still redownload it as many times as you want. They're just not selling it anymore. We'd be in the same situation if physical copies ended their print run.

And yes, we are moving to an all digital future. All doesn't mean "all or nothing." You can still buy LPs in 2018. That doesn't mean the majority of the population hasn't moved onto MP3s and streaming music.

BluRay/DVDs are still sold but have been steadily decreasing year after year as people have moved onto streaming and digital downloads.

Physical books are still printed but are in decline because of e-readers/tablets/cell phones.

PC gaming has been basically 100% digital for some time now and you don't see them proclaiming that the sky is falling. It's just console gamers that are reluctant to accept the inevitable. I don't understand why.

spektical2303d ago (Edited 2303d ago )

"It's just console gamers that are reluctant to accept the inevitable. I don't understand why."

You arent a true gamer then. True money value for a game is in the physical copy. Digital is much more anti-consumer at this place in time. You cannot lend games to friends, and sure there needs to be a middleground. At this point I can go to my friends houses and trade switch/ps4 games like mario/zelda/horizon/gta5, which i cant do with digital. The needle is too far on the anti-consumer side. Steam tried it with family sharing, but its bs i have to sign in to a friends pc for "family share", why can't I decide which 5 friends can view my library from the my home?

Skuletor2303d ago

Same situation if physical copies of a game ended their production run? Don't think you can buy many preowned digital games, especially when they've been delisted.

darthv722303d ago

@spektical: Digital is not anti-consumer. if anything it is pro consumer as digital is much easier to obtain. And really a true gamer is someone who plays games no matter where or in what format.

Sounds to me you are more of a shelf collector than a gamer if you are worried about physical vs digital.

Sunny_D2303d ago

Physical copies that end their run still have the benefit of atleast having a used copy you can find for said game. There’s no such thing as a used digital game.

rainslacker2303d ago (Edited 2303d ago )

Pretty sure u can still easily obtain almost every game ever made physically. It's not like it's terribly hard to find people selling stuff. It's rare that I have to wait it out on something. Just last week I brought over 40 snes games all new, and their print run ended well over 20 years ago.

Otoh, my digital copy of r-typres which I actually paid for back at the start of last gen I'd no longer available for sale, nor is it available to download.

Digital has it's advantages sure, but this is one place where physical trumps digital, and the 2nd biggest reason why I prefer physical. The first is I actually like havi my something of value, which digital games don't beyond my own account

narsaku2303d ago

Yea yea, 1 or 2 games get de-listed and can still be downloaded by people who purchased and nobody really cares about them anyway and the retards come out laughing at the future of gaming, all the while they can't find 3/4 of their games they bought in the last 10 years, half of them probably don't work without skips/glitches, several, "disk 2's", are gone, several of the cases you opened, led to cracked games cus mum dropped your old collection while playing etc etc etc etc etc etc etc.

I swear console gamers here are 200 years old.

Professor_K2303d ago (Edited 2303d ago )

No ty, Downloading 40g games on a 445kb banwidth is MADNESS😆😭
i just wish they scraped that forced instal crap.

This game is still in my backlog :(

gangsta_red2303d ago

Same, got it from PS+ and I was determined to finish it because I am a huge G1 fan...sadly I never did.

LucasRuinedChildhood2303d ago

You can still download and play it.

ZwVw2303d ago

Legend of Korra has been delisted from all marketplace stores as well. The rights expired with Activision.

gedden72303d ago

Now if we can only do that with the MOVIES lol

darthv722304d ago

Both 'War for' and 'Fall of' are really well made games. Much better than any of the movie licensed ones.

BlackTar1872304d ago

i just wish the MP in #2 was better and more inline with #1.

I put like 200hrs into MP on #1 and was one of the hidden gems of last gen. Whatever they did to MP in #2 was awful IMO of course

Knightofelemia2304d ago

I love these games way better then the movie crap that was put out. Too bad the third game Rise of the Dark Spark sucked they had a great franchise going on with War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron.

jukins2304d ago

1st one was amazing. Second was so sloppy technically was near unplayable
