Incredible that he is one of the few people taking the opposite tact in forcing you to think about the implications of your decisions.

Damned few developers these days that are tracking something besides graphics as their primary innovation. But then again, you can't hang screenshots concerning the implications of moral choices in a gamestop window.

I am really looking forward to this title and it's just one more reason to own a Vita.

That was a pretty awesome interview. This man is a legend, and his game will be freaking awesome!

Hicken4253d ago

Great interview. I can't wait to sacrifice my friends!

There is a cool vid on youtube that shows what co-op looks like.

At one point it seemed a teammate was sacrificed for the final attack, it was pretty epic.

PS Vita Exclusives Freedom Wars, Soul Sacrifice to Have Servers Shuttered

Sammy: "Two high-profile PS Vita exclusives, Freedom Wars and Soul Sacrifice, will have their servers deactivated on 24th December, 2021. Both titles, published by Sony in response to its loss of Monster Hunter exclusivity, were built around co-operative play, and maintained relatively dedicated communities to this day."

Oreshika is also getting it servers shut down too. Big shame for these games. Honestly some of Vita's gems.

Snookies12871d ago

I'm surprised these were even still up! Loved the Vita though, had some great times with that handheld.

XxSPIDEYxX871d ago

These games deserve sequels or remakes. It was Soul Sacrifice that even got me into Monster Hunter.

Rangerman1208871d ago (Edited 871d ago )

Honestly surprised they never got ported to the ps4 or even PC. Since Sony won't give the vita another shot, wht not make a Vita collection? Could have Soul Sacrifice, Freedom Wars, KZ Mercs, Uncharted Golden Abyss, Murasaki Baby, etc. As a way to conmemorate the Vita.

Freedom wars servers are still up? Holy shit.

This why you never should have achievements/trophies locked to online only features.

Keiji Inafune's Latest Mobile Game Will Shut Down After Less than a Year of Life

The former Mega Man producer's latest game, Dragon & Colonies, is going to dragon heaven.

mrmikew20181579d ago

Another failure from this whiny clown, I wonder what his excuse will be now?

Chaos_Order1577d ago

Probably that "The mobile gaming landscape is cruel and ruthless and something needs to be done!" when not long ago he would've been thinking "the mobile game market is so massive, we'll make Megabucks!"

xX1NORM1Xx1577d ago

I kinda feel bad for him at this point but he did bring it on himself with mighty number 9.

PhoenixUp1577d ago

Seems everything he touches since he left Capcom becomes filled with misfortune.

- Started work on a 3DS game called Kaio: King of Pirates that later got canceled
- Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z was a disappointing game that all but killed the Ninja Gaiden franchise
- Mighty No.9 failed to live up to the grand expectations set for it
- ReCore was very below average title that didn’t leave much of an impression
- Red Ash has fallen off the radar and the public hasn’t heard anything about its progression

All these flops from the same man who dissed Japanese developers a decade ago. He even defended Phil Fish’s harsh criticism of Japanese devs yet Inafune himself has hasn’t had any critical hits of his own since leaving Capcom.

Chaos_Order1577d ago

The "creator" *coughs violently* of Mega Man sure can't catch a break, can he?

Chaos_Order1577d ago

Which is exactly why I put the word "creator" in quotes and added *coughs violently* after it, because he has been called the creator of Mega Man many times in the past despite it not being accurate. -_- Pardon my immense subtlety.

Wasabi1575d ago

@MrSwank

**"he didnt create mega man"***

I think that was his point.

Hint: "coughs violently"
