Blizzard has just posted the official patch notes for 1.0.4, which is going live today.
Who says a dud game can't have a video game comeback?
Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.
Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.
Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?
Diablo III: Season 28 brings with it the Altar of Rites, an altar full of unlockable bonuses and potions that will require the gathering of tons of resources. One of things needed is the Staff of Herding, which also unlocks the famous Cow Level known as Whimsyshire. Here's how to craft that staff, for those that either have forgotten, or have never completed it.
Looks good but i would like to see more game modes like pvp , maybe some sort of versus more co-op challenge modes perhaps , rather than playing the same 4 acts over and over to achieve paragon levels or what ever they are lol.
These patches should come more often to add to the fun.
I'm so glad to hear they're finally implementing offline-mode. Finally, I'll be able to play the game without lag!
The 1.04 patch notes you say?
'Oh CRAP. GW2 is coming out... DO something'
That would be the short version.
I tried the patch last night, despite my two main character's builds getting nerfed(skill buffs you say? HA, they nerfed WW/CM wiz and Tank DH to the ground).
While it was slightly more fun(a few skills got good upgrades, Vault - cinders for one) and loot did seem to be better... but, it really was just too late.
I hadn't played for two months. I've already given up on the game; and changes that should have been there from the beginning aren't going to bring me back. Specially with GW2 head-start starting this weekend.
Overall I'd say it's a positive patch, and a much needed one at that. But, I think it's too late to change majority of people's opinions.
