Persona 3 FES will always remain near and dear to this writer because it found him love when he wasn't even looking.
The P3RE.JP has seen an update to its domain today, suggesting that the rumored Persona 3 Remake could be announced in the near future.
TheGamer's Meg Pelliccio says: "Atlus has just launched ports of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden to modern consoles, allowing old fans a chance to take a trip down memory lane while newbies can experience them for the very first time. Persona 5 and Royal saw the fanbase boom, so it’s no surprise that lots of fans have yet to check out these earlier titles. As much as I enjoy and would recommend both, I can’t help feeling that this launch missed the opportunity to settle an old score once and for all."
Neither does Tales of the Abyss
At least P3 is playable on modern platforms whereas TotA was only rereleased on 3DS
Started it this weekend, for a min I thought there was no 3d exploration until I got into the dungeon. Just a weird choice with the static pic.
Atlus is finally delivering on what many fans have been asking for by bringing past Persona games to new platforms, including Persona 5 Royal.
As it turns out, fans can thank SEGA for the Switch port. Atlus producer Shinji Yamamoto revealed in an interview of Famitsu that SEGA led the way on the project.
Interesting that they would pick such a modern game for an "Origins" piece.
A good read!
