Quick answer is Yes for the short term and a big Hell No in the long term. One unknown vita game and a few psn games and crossplay with vita will not sell this sinking handheld. They need to realize that only kids want to carry around a big portable vita in there pocket and that is not Sonys audience. Cell phone plus vita plus wallet makes one look like a nerd.

Omg people will think im a nerd the horror. Can you imagine what those people, i will probably never see again will think...

grown a$$ adult here who has both, and only games on my vita, my phone is just for texting, calling, and browsing web while at work lol.

for me sony didnt have to redeem themselves since they always have games for me to play.

I agree with you about it is for a younger audience. Handheld gaming is majority a younger audience and Sony need to start releasing games at that audience. Also release some crappy games like Nintendogs. I think cross play is a great idea and the media molecule idea looks very innovative but they also need to release these types of games for it.

These guys are fairly negative about everything do they even like playing games?

iamnsuperman4258d ago

I have noticed that recently and they are also reluctant to change their pre existing thoughts

redeem for what exactly ?

they had the best e3 compared to nintendo and their imba boring conferance and m$ wich yet again was another boring kinect hello kitty presentation.

sony + ubisoft owned E3 this year.

and yes sony had a awesome conferance too here..with alots of original and creatives games + lots of stuffs for the vita.

cant wait for more info about the ps mobile.

No Sony did better than MS and Nintendo but still they weren't impressive. Nintendo was confusing and didn't give us much info about Wii U. Microsoft showed us Halo 4 which was cool then wandered off to kinnect land which nobody cares much about.

Sony meanwhile, practically ignored their new, expensive, unpopular handheld, showed some more of their patented 'cinematic' style brown games that non Sony fans barely care about, and then Wonder Book was a sad farce.

Just because Sony fans never want to hear about Sony needing to redeem themselves doesn't mean that they never need to redeem themselves.

And I haven't heard of ANYBODY much caring about Gamescom anymore. Which is why nobody else even went. That makes me wonder how Sony being the only one to show up and showing three vita games one of which is in a mostly live action trailer, possibly counts as anything like redemption. Vita/PS3 games isn't going to sell Vitas to many people.

This gen is pretty much over. Last call.

It's A Crime That There's No Sleeping Dogs 2 Yet

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."

LG_Fox_Brazil1d 6h ago

I agree, I consider the first one a cult classic already

isarai1d ago

You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is

CrimsonWing6911h ago

That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.

solideagle10h ago

Majority of the time it's true but if a company/publisher is big (in terms of money), they can take a hit or 2. e.g. I am not worried about Rebirth sales as Square will make Remake 3 anyway but if FF 17 doesn't sell then Square might need to look for alternative. <-- my humble opinion

Abnor_Mal9h ago

Doesn’t Microsoft own the IP now since they acquired Activision?

Abnor_Mal6h ago

Oh okay, Activision owned True Crime, but when that didn’t sell as intended it was canceled. Six months later Square Enix bought the rights and changed the title to Sleeping Dogs.*

Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.
