Overhaul Games, a division of Beamdog, is working to update and enhance Baldur’s Gate. What does this mean for fans of the epic series of PC role playing games? Brought to you by RantGaming.com
The Humble RPG Legends Bundle just launched today. It includes nine items including Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, Neverwinter Nights: Complete Adventures, and more.
Daily Video Game writes: "Amazon has just added several more new games under $10 and $20 to celebrate its Prime Day, but these deals are not limited to just Prime members. That means even if you are not a Prime member, you could take advantage of these deals right now across multiple gaming platforms!"
If you are anything like me, a lot of what you do for work, for fun, and for staying in touch with friends depends on the great and mighty World Wide Web. So, imagine what would happen if the gang of neighborhood cats chewed through the power cords, cutting off your electricity. Or the alien hackers from outer space sent a destructive virus that crumbles the infrastructure of the internet in a matter of seconds. Devastating disasters like this could come in more mundane forms as well. Maybe your parents turn off your service or you are going on a trip to a remote, Wi-Fi-less destination.
That is the best news I've had all year.
Always good when you see people going out of their way to breath new life into classic games. Definitely a worthwhile venture.
The fact that they have ideas to give my favorite crpg, Planescape:Torment, the same treatment has me very excited as well. Let alone their interest in continuing the Baldur's Gate series.
We need more proper crpgs. The genre as a whole has been getting pretty watered down over the last few years. A revival of the hardcore rpg is definitely a positive in my books.
I spent more times on Baldur's Gate 2 than all of the Bethesda titles combined, and I LOVE the Bethesda games. So excited about this.
