Diggs and Walking with Dinosaurs, really got me interested in Wonderbook, it looked really good.

Nice diverse bunch of games on show overall.

If marketed right this will sell a lot during holidays. Would love to try diggs night crawler with my little nephew. Think he will enjoy it. It was a better showing than the one at e3 that's for sure.

Daver4266d ago

yea they seem pretty nice

PirateThom4266d ago

I don't think I'll ever be happy to see Wonderbook at a press conference... even if dinosaurs are awesome.

DigitalAnalog4266d ago

You'll have to admit, it's a lot less cringeworthy than that poor showing at E3. I guess gamescom learned their lesson and actually showcased them on trailers instead.

PirateThom4266d ago (Edited 4266d ago )

It was, true. I just think it kind of kills their momentum a bit. I don't think it's a horrible idea, but it's just the wrong place to show it off.

user54670074266d ago

I know as soon as that guy came on with Wonderbook in the background I was like

"Oh my god, not this again"

Usualy Sony are good with learning from their mistakes...it didn't drag too much but it was something where I was like

"Yeah...thats nice, now shoo...shoo...get off the stage"

Same goes for the EA Sports bit which COULD of been shown off at the EA conference ¬¬

NastyLeftHook04266d ago

walking with dinosaurs is my fav show on netflix, im checking this out.

-Alpha4266d ago (Edited 4266d ago )

Surprisingly good showing for Wonderbook. Good promise for the future of a market that Sony needs to tap, whether core gamers like to hear it or not. Still unsure how it will sell, but that depends on Sony

I think its a great that kids titles such as these are getting so much attention. Heck i might even play Diggs that looked pretty dang cool if you ask me.

The poor old Vita. Still travels with me to this day...

BiggerBoss2141d ago

The Vita was such a tragedy.

It was such a powerful handheld, but consumers just didn't latch onto it.

Yi-Long2141d ago (Edited 2141d ago )

Great screen, great specs, but ridiculously overpriced memory cards quickly made it a non-starter for many. Even when I had one, I wouldn't buy games for the simple reason my 8/16 GB card was full, and it would have cost too much money to buy a new one, and I didn't want to remove the games which were on it.

Bought a 64GB card in Hong Kong last year orso, where it was actually affordable, but back in Holland a simple 32GB card would have cost me at least as much as I paid for the 64GB card in HK.

SierraGuy2141d ago (Edited 2141d ago )

Way better than Switch. Ahead of it's time if you ask me and probably collectible one day.

yellowgerbil2141d ago

The best lineup ever. Most were cancelled or not released and those that have are mediocre

BiggerBoss2141d ago

Lmao, best lineup in Xbox history.

Gotta love it.

DialgaMarine2141d ago (Edited 2141d ago )

I thought they were going to list PS3 because of the tags lol

Also, if you’re going to include Wonder Book, might as well throw Kinect in as well. Sesame Street, anyone? lol

PhantomS422141d ago

Don't you dare talk smack about Skittles the tiger! Agreed though a lot of those demos were hilarious and painful to watch.

The 10th Rider2141d ago

To be fair though, from a sales perspective Kinect was a huge success. It also had a fair number of games that weere a critical success.

DialgaMarine2141d ago

True, but its far better known for its blunders, such as being the thing Rare was forced to make crappy games for, and one of the most embarrassingly bad Star Wars game in recebt memory. It also kindof fell the map pretty quickly, and played a huge role in botching Xbone’s launch.

Segata2141d ago

Wii U, Wii Motion Sensor, Wonderbook, Kinect,Vita 3G AT&T, Wii Music, PS3 Price, US Saturn Launch "Saturnday" ,Game Boy Advance Micro. Are some of mine. I can't remember if Matrix Online was announced at E3 but SEGA was hyping it up as something SEGA fans were asking for and making it sound like a massive deal. Then never heard about it again.

Imalwaysright2141d ago (Edited 2141d ago )

The Sega Saturn has got to be the worse. "Hey the console is on the shelves right now... surprise!! Oh and it costs $400" and right after Sega's conference comes Sony and says that the PS1, a console that unlike the Saturn was designed to offer fully realized 3D worlds for the players to immerse themselves in, costs $300. That day marked the beggining of the end for Sega's hardware.

Wonderbook expands into dinosaurs investigating Harry Potter’s potions on Nov. 12

Remember Wonderbook? If perchance its previous Book of Spells reminded you that you’re young at heart, there’s three more Wonderbooks on the way, including another Harry Potter: Book of Potions. Alongside the recipe book, there will also be a Wonderbook version of the BBC Documentary Walking with Dinosaurs and a kids detective story called Diggs Nightcrawler which was announced sometime last year and then disappeared mysteriously into Europe.
