BD writes: Our Dead Days of Summer is drawing to a close, and if this is any indication, we’re going to end not with a whimper, but with a bang. If you’ve been waiting for TJ and I to whole-heartedly disagree on something, you really should read on, because the arguments that ensue should be mildly entertaining. Hell, if you want, you can disagree with both of us and join in on the debate. Just be careful with the name-calling. TJ and I are delicate man-flowers who wilt at the very hint of criticism.
Parrying has been creeping into more games, with almost every high-profile title of the last few years featuring it in some way. Why?
i understand the authors frustration i'm not the best at parrying in games. not that i can't complete a game that requires it but it is a definite harder thing for me than other kinds of techniques in games. which might be the main reason it's so heavily added in games nowadays. want to make your game challenging without having to do a lot of work? just add a parry boss. (what i mean by parry boss is a boss you have to beat by parrying such that their attacks will kill you otherwise)
I always think it's fine as long as such games also have the roll/dodge panic button. But I understand the will to parry, it seems so cinematic in a fight when you pull it off.
If you're looking for 'must have' PSVR 2 games then look no further. These are the 10 titles every PSVR 2 owner should have in their library.
If you're wanting more PSVR 2 support, you should probably buy all of these games.
Speak with your wallet!
I'm trying to decide if it's worth holding onto my psvr 2. I enjoy what it has currently, but it seems unlikely to get anything else. Might be better off just waiting for something with more support if that ever comes.
GT7 surprised me, because I hate racing games, but i poured 100 hours into it way too quickly.
I’m looking forward to the Metro VR game this year, and I hope that WW2 dogfighter game releases eventually.
I have most of them 😅
Waiting for a sale on Synapse and Arizona Sunshine 2.....also Metro coming this year looks great.
A new mod brings the highly nostalgic fixed angles to the Resident Evil 2 remake, bringing the game closer to the original 1998 experience.
That's easy. The Gamecube remake of the original RE. Best one by miles.
The remake on the gamecube was great.
However, Resident Evil 2 was always my favorite of the series.
It has to be REmake. It was Resident Evil perfected. RE0,2,3,Code Veronica are great games but REmake would be my choice. RE4 & RE5 shouldn't count because they're not real RE games.
Resident Evil Remake.
-Best use of pre-rendered backgrounds in a game period.
-The addition of crimson heads and clever layout of old enemies to rattle seasoned Biohazard players.
-Tons of new areas and unlockables compared to previous versions.
-Jill sandwich remixed still manages to pull out a chuckle.
Resident Evil Outbreak deserves an honorable mention for introducing great scenarios (Zombie Zoo anyone?), gameplay allowed much more freedom even compared to Biohazard 3: Nemesis and original online concept which made teamwork so essential.
RE:Make on the GC, then RE3 then 4.
