CryEngine 2 was Photo Real day 1!

I rather have a CryEngine 2.5 for PC!

More Power and Better Quality by adding DX11.1

CryEngine 3 looks great but just lacks the some things that the PC only CryEngine 2 had.

The only thing CryEngine 3 lacks was an exclusive like Crysis 1 that was meant to push the visuals and realism so much.

CryEngine 3 is better. The games however just don't try as hard.

There's still a long way to go into photorealism in videogames. photorealistic screenshots and trailers? sure, but there are some things even next gen engines won't be capable of doing (textiles, water, natural elements, hair, vegetation, realistic physics/animations, among other things). But what we want are great experiences and stories with those visuals.

Those images are taken running the engine on a pc. Anyone with a standard gaming rig can make their game look like this. The cry editor is how it's done. Once your happy with the map you can export it to crysis 2. It's not really far off considering these screen shots are playable.

CE5 has a higher framerate but CE3 looks better at times...

I guess this is because CE5 is just supposed to be a Cryengine for VR and not much more

Imortus_san2943d ago

CE3 looks much better, more defenition and more vibrant colors.
