Developer Two Tribes offered to answer questions – via Twitter – regarding Wii U’s version of Toki Tori 2.
The Nintendo Switch is potentially nearing its lifespan, and several Wii U games haven't found their way over as ports yet.
I think it's better to leave games like AC: Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash forgotten on the Wii U. Best case, they are mediocre games; worse case, they are very bad. It was a dark time for the Wii U, and the first only exists to sell Amiibo cards, whereas the second was put together in a couple of months with a shoestring budget, and it shows.
The rest of the list does have some really cool games, though. I would love to see a remake of Star Fox Zero with decent controls, and Xenoblade X doesn't require that much modification to work.
This article leaves out Nintendo's most controversial game to date devils Third.
I personally found the cover system really fun in that one compared to at the time most fps games completely lacking one.
Kirby is always ignored or forgotten by people, so good to see it mentioned here.
Play Kirby Canvas Curse on DS, and then play Rainbow Curse on Wii U, they're really fun and unique 'platformers' without any actual jumping.
The long-awaited sequel to the 2013 narrative adventure is currently expected out sometime in 2024.
Oh hell yeah! I feel like this was one hell of an underrated game, and I'm glad to see that a part 2 is coming.
This was my favorite Telltale game. I’m definitely going to play this. Hopefully it has less jank than the Telltale games had. I didn’t think it would happen but I’m happy it’s coming
Great, loved the first game and happy a sequel is coming but after such a lengthy development, are Telltale gonna be releasing it episodic with non specific time delays between episodes? If it is episodic, they need to have a full set of dates laid out for every episode so we know what we are getting & when like Resident Evil Revelations 2 did, buying episode 1 and not knowing when the rest will come is just unacceptable in 2024.
I always loved Telltale games. They were like those old choose your own adventures books.
Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
Cant PS3/360 do 1080p without breaking a sweat...... for downloadable games, like Toki Tori 2?
The real test is 1080p retail games
I should hope so since HD hit consoles a generation before it.
Even the original XBox had Ninja Gaiden in HD. Sure it was 480p but it was also 2 generations prior to the Wii U.
ok welcome to current gen! now if it can do 1080p@60fps or 120fps then i'd give the system a second glance!
This is very positive news for all future supporters of the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system. Just months away from being blessed with true next generation visuals, and technical prowess.
A special thanks goes to the hard workers under the Nintendo umbrella. For pushing console technical specs and graphical capability to never before seen heights.
1080p will hopefully be the new standard for next Generation on competing consoles as well.
Have a blessed day and happy gaming
