The critical reaction to the recently leaked gameplay footage of the Black Mesa modification has prompted the development team to make some changes.
The studio responsible for refining Half-Life with an unofficial, Valve-approved reimagining has teased an upcoming project that needs beta testers.
As part of the title’s 25th anniversary, that long-established glitch has now been resolved.
Been replaying this on my steam deck now that it's been updated with modern controls and is now fully verified. Have to say I'm surprised to see how well it holds up. Was a great game in 1998 and it's still a great game 25 years on.
The textures in Half-Life were seemingly only produced by a single person, as confirmed in a new in-depth documentary about the game.
It just seemed like they were adding things people didn't want
What started out as a "Half life HD makeover" has resulted in them trying to make it even better then how Valve made it...which would be impossible to do since Half life in my opinion is amazing.
They should focus on making it look pretty and new while getting rid of these new, out of place changes. No wonder it's been taking so long
Plus the whole COD thing they have going on with the weapons
Trying to add COD elements in Half life...<sigh> it just feels like they've lost focus on what they were originaly doing.
