Konami Employee Wins Gold Medal at Olympics

IGN - Have you been watching the Olympics? Here’s something you might not know about the gold medal winner in men’s individual all-around gymnastics: he works for Konami. Uchimara is an employee of Konami Sports & Life Co., a subsidiary of Konami that aims at “providing you an enjoyable and valuable time within your daily life through health and fitness,” according to message from the program’s representative director.

ATi_Elite4276d ago

I do one of those same routines everynight as I splash down in my bathtub.

True Story!

Gazondaily4276d ago

So this is the guy who did all the motion capture scenes for Raiden.

PoSTedUP4276d ago

god holy ****, i wonder how many dips this guy could do.

Kojima Team are BEASTS. congrats.

epic song too!!!

-Mezzo-4276d ago

Cool, that's what you call a Multi-Talented guy.

Batzi4276d ago

Kojima should have won the medal.

Mainsqueeze4276d ago

Kojima couldnt even dream of doing what this guy does sorry. Hes a good game maker but this dude here is nuts.

mafiahajeri4276d ago (Edited 4276d ago )

Are you implying if Kojima put all his time and effort into this sport he wouldnt be able to do it? How can you possibly know? Sorry but comparing them dosent make sense. Its like telling some guy who hasent ever played basket ball " Theres no way you can dunk the ball like Lebron James".

Also that comment was obviously a joke, you should have just laughed and moved on...

Mainsqueeze4276d ago

I honestly don't think it was a joke, people take their Kojima pretty seriously. No i'm not implying that if he put all his time and effort into this that he couldn't do it, they guy said "Kojima should have won the medal". And no he shouldn't of, not in a million years. Even if Kojima did put all his time and effort into gymnastics he couldn't do what this dude did...he just won an Olympic gold dude.

cruxito4276d ago

shutup.. both guys are in totally different jobs..is like saying HOPE SOLO wont ever win an Oscar as NIcole KIdman

Nate-Dog4276d ago

@mafiahajeri: Well Kojima is over 50 years old I believe so...

But seriously if Mainsqueeze is like me he's probably sick to death of all the massive Kojima fanboys on this site that say (and would probably believe) stuff like this.

guitarded774276d ago (Edited 4276d ago )

Kojima is a gold medalist in making games :D

I would rather have Kojima's career than Uchimara's.

Other topic: I don't think most of the comments in this post understand that Uchimara works for a completely different division of Konami that deals with fitness/sports... not gaming.

Since The Contra Revival Shows Konami Still Cares, How About A New Castlevania?

Hanzala from eXputer: "Contra: Operation Galuga is a classic revival done right, but why hasn't Konami done the same yet for the bigger and more popular Castlevania?"

shinoff218315d ago

Slowdown. Let them get these suikoden games done first. Alot of us are still waiting for those

XiNatsuDragnel15d ago

Castlevania fighting game for wii needs to be remade plz

Aphrodia14d ago

well, the new C ontra was made by Wayforward, who have been taking sooooo many of these classic franchises and making new iterations of them. Imo they aren't very good at it. And I don't see operation galuga being a large enough success to possibly give them Castlevania.

It’s almost like Metal Gear is a well known franchise

Horrible news more proof todays "gamer" is just a cow ready to be milked.

That mgs collection is no better than my ps3 copy but my ps3 copy has 0 server restrictions i always roll my eyes when reviewers or these new "youtube gamer" channels show off the information books on a webpage via a trash in game browser or the lack of controller support like it s a good thing.

Also GOG still has a better version mgs 1 or use the duck ps1 emulator.

Well time for the peace walker remaster pc port 480p 20fps needs a rtx 3090 or 6900xt to run with dunovo konami account then a govt id check.

just_looken71d ago (Edited 71d ago )

All the bonus content on the new collection needs a konami server to load them up if you pull your lan cord only the games will work but that is temp as those games are digital goods.

When i said digital i know there is a disc version games are on the disc i was referring to the pc version and the patches after the fact but yes ps5 has a disc version.

As long as it's not like Twin Snakes. And I hope they have the option to keep the original PSone voice tracks, which is a huge part of the appeal for me. The Twin Snakes voice tracks sounded worse, and had lame script changes as well.

Babadook7100d ago

Of Course. Go straight to the near perfect source.

porkChop100d ago

It's likely going to be handled just like Delta.

just_looken100d ago (Edited 100d ago )

Its probably like resident evil 2 remake.

for those that do not know fans remade that game until the garage scene but then was shutdown by capcom a few years later bam RE2 hd remaster.

In 2016 fans used unreal engine up until the raven fight it was a full hd remaster square shut it down took everything so why not use there work.
