**** company now. No BF3, ruin Kotor 2, no Tie fighter/

Emilio_Estevez4276d ago (Edited 4276d ago )

Can I double/triple agree? I would if I could. Battlefront 3 better be happening still. I don't care if it's just starting, but it needs to happen.

Lucreto4276d ago

A few less Star Wars games and some new IP's, They have lots of classic IP's like Monkey Island they could use.

pompombrum4276d ago

A new Monkey Island game? What I'd give for that.

oldfriend864276d ago

Just make another Battle Front 3. Seriously. What is so hard about that concept?

It's not a crappy game, therefore they can't make it.

theWB274276d ago

Easy....Call of Duty and Battlefield. For them to make a quality game it'd need to be AAA caliber which means AAA development. Do you think they'd steal enough sales from those two to justify development in that genre....probably not. Business...

miDnIghtEr20C_SfF4276d ago

Yes. I'm a huge COD guy, but I'm an even bigger Star Wars fan.

Don't underestimate the power of the Force.

SWBF would be a HUGE game for any console. They do it right with clans and things like that... The game would be HUGE, and there is easily enough room for a Star Wars BF game, next to COD and BF.

theWB274276d ago

I get that...but do you risk that financially if the company is in a little flux? It might be huge to think of...but what if they go all out and it doesn't deliver quality wise? I'd do it next gen when they can wow people. But now is a little risky. Too late.

oldfriend864276d ago (Edited 4276d ago )

Even on a business stance, most VG companies are copping out and going for CoD/BF games. Dead Space, Resident Evil, Splinter Cell, are all doing it now and more games to follow.

I mean, look at the games Lucas Arts have now. They can't NOT afford to go with a new BF. A new IP would be more poison to the company. Just stick with what was good, which was the BF series.

Ben_Grimm4276d ago

No Battlefront, No Tie Fighter, No Force Unleashed, No KOTOR!!

More Maniac Mansion, More Indiana Jones, More Grim Fandango, More Loom...give me something other than Star Wars LucasArts!

coolbeans4276d ago

They have published a few non-Star Wars games, but none of them have panned out to be great.

Let's see...there's Fracture, Lucidity, LEGO Indy games, and...Thrillvile. Heh...not nearly up to comparison to some of the games you've mentioned though.

TENTONGUN4276d ago

no jedi outcast this gen has seriously pissed me off. maybe some of them guys need to quit so they can hire halfass smart people to get us some decent games.

eh…Gilbert, Purcell Schaffer were the trail blazers in that crew. David, while he did do some stuff once, like a real long ass time ago is more like b-list personality that specializes in reminiscing and signing ops at a convention.

Dope! Gotta be honest tho, i completely forgot this existed 😅

Sonic1881504d ago

Still in the early stages. We won't get a reveal until two more years probably 😂

rlow1504d ago

I wish they would make another Riddick, Butchers Bay was the best.

hotnickles504d ago

You know what games I want way more than Indiana Jones? The darkness and Riddick.

Snookies12504d ago (Edited 504d ago )

Haha, completely agree... But, the fact that he is involved in this is a definitely a positive sign! Could actually be a good game!

hotnickles503d ago

You might be right. Indiana Jones will never do Jackie or Riddick stuff though. The darkness was brutal on the eyes and ears lol.

Leeroyw504d ago

The Darkness was an underrated gem. Fantastic lore and Mike patton from Faith No More voicing the darkness is up there with the great video game voice overs imo.

Amazon’s Prime Gaming Offers Free Select LucasArts Classics

While new chapters or remakes would be great; it is nice to see the classics get some love. Amazon’s Prime Gaming is amping up the nostalgia this summer by offering Amazon Prime members a selection of free classic LucasArts games for PC.

PapaBop1022d ago

Secret of Monkey Island is a classic, I highly recommend it for anyone who hasn't played it.

Garethvk1022d ago

Those older LucasArts games were all good. Full Throttle is still amazing
