As much as I hate Alex Rodriguez (as a Ranger fan), he is still "A-Rod". As great as Aaron Rodgers is, we gotta come up with a different nickname for him...he does deserve his own. He shouldn't have to share with that doucher Yankee.

There is absolutely no way that some of these Quarterbacks are rated so high. I would consider some of the greats like John Unitas or Joe Montana to rate in the mid 90's, these guys today aren't even in the same league.

How in the world does Robert Griffin III get a 83? especially when someone like Joe Flacco only gets an 88? Flacco has taken the Ravens to the playoffs all 4 years he's been in the NFL, and the AFC Championship game twice! He has the record for playoff road wins by a rookie QB.

Lets just give everyone a 99 and let the gamer's sort it out later......

Johnny Unitas and Joe Montana didn't play last year and the Madden rating are usually based off a combination of current player rankings and player performance from the year before. Old retired players should play 0 role in current players' ratings.

Joe Flacco gets carried by the Ravens defense I think his overall is about right, as far as RG3 I agree he's over rated, the hype surrounding him has leaked into the Madden, I guess that's what the winning the heisman does, besides ratings change throughout the year.

I agree there are discrepancies like Phillip Rivers rated 92 and he threw 20+ INT last year, and Tony Romo had a top 4 QB rating last year yet is at 90 same as last Madden....but hey it will never be perfect rating wise , all I want is good game play

linkratos4277d ago

I agree Rivers had a terrible year but I think Madden is giving him the benefit of the doubt. Every prior year he has been elite, I would be pretty surprised if he has another performance in the vicinity of last season's.

Flacco is good but by no means a game changer. And Tony Romo...kind of an enigma. I think people are too hard on him, but theres still something I don't trust. Things just don't go right for him.

ChunkyLover534277d ago

Who knew there were so many Flacco haters huh? All he did was lead his team to the first undefeated season within the division in the history of the team. Led the Ravens to a perfect 9-0 at home, and NO, the defense didn't carry him. He brought the Ravens back in the fourth quarter numerous times last year, including a 80 yard drive against the Steelers with 1:40 remaining to win and sweep them.

He outplayed Tom Brady in the AFC Championship game, had it not been for a WR's dropped TD pass with 38 seconds left, Ravens win the division.

Cant really say the Ravens defense carries when Flacco has had more TD"s than INT's EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

My point on the old time players is, no player should be rated at almost perfect, because there are no almost perfect players.

Peyton Manning is in the high 90's coming off neck surgery and a year when he didn't even play? Get real!

linkratos4277d ago

Since when is having less INTs than TDs a reason to brag? I don't hate Flacco. In fact he's among a certain group of QBs (Matt Ryan, Tony Romo, Eli Manning, Matt Shaub) that I find hard to feel any emotion towards (good or bad). He's just a very good QB in the top 1/3 of the NFL. Nothing more, nothing less.

jrbeerman114276d ago

Chunky Lover I would give Flacco an 88 which is a good rating by the way, but ya I wouldn't give rookies anything higher than 80, and some of the guys in the 90's (cough Phil rivers cough) shouldn't be in 90s.

You could argue Romo, Manning, Roethlesburger didnt have great years and should be lower as well but probably get a pass for career performance.

Yes Flacco had better game than Brady in one game yes, but dont forget that pats secondary was the WORST IN THE NFL last year. While Ravens had top 2 Defense. When your playing against practice squad secondary (FACT not opinion) with the best behind you, you tend to have advantage over the other QB.... Just saying.

@Raven_Nomad......I mean Chunkylover53

Sorry, but your ravens are aging and Flacco cracks under pressure.

ChunkyLover534276d ago

Ravens aging? I admit Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are veterans, but if you look at the rest of the front 7, everyone is in their 20's, the offense is even younger than that.

Our CB's are all early 20's, Webb (24) Jimmy Smith (23) and Carry Williams (26) and Pollard the other Safety is 28.

They have drafted well, and the offensive side is very talented with Boldin, Ray Rice, Flacco, Torrey Smith ect... I would expect Weakman to try and troll me. Haters gonna hate, my team probably put a smack down on your team at some point..lol

jrbeerman114276d ago

ya pollard is good for injuring players anyways

Rainstorm814277d ago

Tony Romo is so under-rated, Phillips Rivers threw twice as many INTs as him yet he's 92

jrbeerman114276d ago

Giants>Colts is more accurate.

Eli is good, but didn't carry his team quite like Peyton.

Colts record last year is all the proof you need. Eli goes down and Giants still win more than 5 games.

TheHater4276d ago

Yeah Eli doesn't carry his team.
Giants offense line was rank 31st overall last year. rank 32 in Pass protection

Giants had the 32 rank running game last year.

Giants had the 27 rank Defense last year. Gave up 400 points.

Eli broke the 4th quarter pass TD record
Eli had 7 fourth quarter comebacks because the defense couldn't hold the leads.
Oh and did I mention that the Giants Receivers lead the league in Drops and Drops TD passes?

You are right, Eli doesn't carry his team like Peyton does. /s

Top 10 Sports Games Of The Generation

In many ways, this past console generation was a brutal one for sports video games. While other genres flourished, sports gamers were subjected to an irreversible thinning of the herd, losing MLB 2K, 2K Sports football, NHL 2K, both NCAA basketball franchises, and seeing arcade sports games all but vanish. Competition, which breeds innovation, is weaker than ever. But that’s not to say some standout games didn’t arrive as well.
