Darksiders II dev admits Vigil's future is "dependent on how this goes"

Darksiders II Lead Developer Haydn Dalton has admitted the pressure is on for Vigil Games.

In an interview with Strategy Informer, Dalton suggested the studio's future could depend on Darksiders II sales.

the fanboys didn't like the WiiU portion of it. Its quite pathetic. They call themselves gamers yet they hate all games thats not by a specific corporation.

They bash stuff like halo and forza, yet if those were ps3 exclusives they would talk about how amazing they were. The only ounce of power they feel they have is the pathetic little disagree button. Its the forum equivalent to blowing a car horn. If it makes you feel better then whatever.

yeah my ps3 has been a great system, i had a lot of fun with ps3, 360, PC and even had a lot of fun with a few wii games. Fanboyism is ruining the industry so bad. Can't wait for wiiU and can't wait to see what the new microsoft and sony consoles are. Fanboys are only hurting themselves and the industry.

I disagreed because I didn't think the game was "amazing" in any way. I thought it was just ok, I hope the sequel is better.

They disagreed with you saying you're gonna show support through Wii U. Seriously, some people on this site are awesome then others seem like they are just fanboys or something.

Anyway, i will too be checking it out on Wii U cause i'm not a fanboy and i like all systems equally.

Kinda sad to hear that a studio might get shut down based on the sales of their game... hope it does well.

I presume most of THQ's studios are in a similar position, as I doubt THQ is still willing/able to keep financing studios who can't bring in money. I wish them the best of luck and their game seems pretty good from what I've seen.

Not sure what the first game did in sales, but it was enjoyable. I really hate to see studios close down, I'm only one guy, but I try to buy new and support the smaller studios whenever possible.

I'm fed up of industry BS. This seems to be the standard marketing response these days. Its always the same as they talk up there game they always come out saying if this game flops you'll never see us again as if its some kind of blackmail/sympathy marketing plea no matter who or how big they are. Please give it up already!
