MMORPGs and other online only titles are meant to be viable for months, if not years, after release. They’re subject to constant changes, have become increasingly expansive, and by default, more expensive to produce. Problem is, they’re also becoming more difficult to properly review. Shouldn't big name gaming sites wait longer to review them?

Who says a dud game can't have a video game comeback?
Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

Yes
I think any site should just wait to review games especially if they take away points from glitches so they can give time to the devs to create patches.
Online games should also not be reviewed immediately since you can't experience the whole thing in just a couple of hours.
yep. at least for MP focused games. if they play the ENTIRE campaign of something like metal gear solid then sure review it. At least finish the damn thing, thats my problem. "ehhh...5 hours of skyrim...good enough."
No, reviews are ment for people who haven't really looked into a they are interested in buying. It gives them insite on the strengths and weaknesses of the gameplay, story, online. Game Reviews shouldn't be bias or compare one game to any other game they also should get rid of the whole number system entirely because now people look at a 7 as terrible. What game sites SHOULD do is revamp the review system and make sure the people they assign to review a game 1)has a slight interest in the game and 2) can be able to play a game with an open mind and not what he/she expects the game to be
I always wish gaming reviewers would at least update their review/score in case the game get patched and fixed. Most games get low scores because of bugs and problems that get fixed later with patches
