If I idolized anyone besides myself it would be Gabe Newell. Besides his body odor and excess fat, the man is a damn genies. He has created some of the best video games ever, lead the way on an Open platform (the PC) and kept his company private.
Players can pay to edit their character, resurrect the dead and other actions.
Yet Helldivers 2 gets a pass? Y’know a GotY contender by the name of RE4 had them and so does Devil May Cry V. The funny thing is I enjoyed both of those games thoroughly without having to buy a single microtransaction.
What I do consider a valid complaint is not being able to start a new game or being able to edit your character. That’s kind of a seriously baffling decision, but then I think how I played Dragon’s Dogma 1 and I never edited my character and I just did a 100% playthrough on a single file and didn’t start a NG since. So, I don’t think these are really going to impact me, but I can see how it will others.
I was going to pay full price to support this game because I've been waiting for it for forever but I think I'll wait until I get it for free from Epic or a Humblebundle monthly.
I am not defending Capcom, as I am not a fan of MTX in single player games. I do however belive they were open to reviewers about having MTX in their game. The reviewers just decided to leave that part out. Which is very disingenuous. There are some companies that get away with these things. Image if this was done by EA, Ubisoft, or even Activision? I am positive those defending Capcom, would have had their pitchforks ready if the companies listed above did this
The Hogwarts Legacy video game is on sale for the lowest price yet. You can get the Standard Edition on Steam for $29.99 down from $59.99 (that's $30 off). And, the Digital Deluxe Edition can be picked up for just $59.99, which is $59.99 off its usual price of $119.98.
50% is about as far as I made it through the game too. It started so strong in and around the castle... $30 feels about right though
It's like they are pushing us away from gaming on consoles. The standard edition of this game is currently on sale on Xbox for $41.99, on PlayStation for $69.99 and on steam for $30.00. The PS store usually have sales on Tuesdays so hopefully, we will see the price being matched when the store gets updated.
The latest update overhauls certain aspects of the UX such as the process of adding Steam games in the cart without opening a separate page.
The fatman has spoken now give him his cake : ) jk
Gabe is alright in my books but needs to stop trolling us with HL3 - at this rate my grand children's childrens will be playing HL3 instead of me.
PC gaming seems like it's better due to more variety and freedom with games like mods.
I'll be getting my PC soon but until then, i'll be gladly playing my PS3.
PC gaming is 100% better in terms of tech and modding.
That said, most of the games I play, never come out for the PC. So it is not better for me. Still, I have a gaming PC, just don't use it as much, been playing to much Dragon's Dogma and Resonance of Fate.
PC's don't get many Japanese games, which is about all I play.
EDIT:
Gotta hand it to him, he is a funny guy.
pc hardware is def top notch, but when it comes to exclusive games , i have to stick with consoles since its only place where it has uncharted, halo 4, resistance, heavy rain, jak and daxter, and much more. Pc has their own exclusives but i feel consoles has the edge when it comes to exclusive gaming. Games are just more appealing and fun.......NOT SAYING PC GAMES are bad. they're good as well but i jus like exclusive titles on consoles better... That's just my opinion
here we go again...
