5 MegaMan Games that could bring Capcom back from the dead.

With stupid ass Zombies being the thing now days it seems that Capcom can’t get enough of the rotting horde. And when we say rotting that is exactly what Capcom is doing to its reputation and its fan base, making them rot while we wait for the next Megaman game. It may never come and that sucks a big Megabuster. How can Capcom turn its back on the little bluebomber that guy that put them on the map in gaming history and thrusted them into 8-bit to polygon status! Most of you that read this may be younger and think well Megaman is dumb… FU** YOU! If I was your parent I would take your Xbox controllers and beat you with it. With out Megaman some of today’s best games like…. wait for it… UGHHHH brains…. DEAD RISING AND RESIDENT EVIL would not have been made. And lets not even make me Down, Down-Forward, Forward + Punch you because Street Fighter wouldn’t even be around either OR ANY OTHER CAPCOM GAME PERIOD! So what games in Capcoms catalogue could help Capcom save itself from...

Cap on really has jumped right on board with the zombie craze hasn't it :/

CanadianTurtle4290d ago

I don't understand how thats true, since they were the ones known to start the whole zombie craze. Unfortunately they're piloting in the wrong direction with the RE series

Godmars2904290d ago

Would really love to see the Megaman Zero series on PSN/XBL but the way things are sprite animation has become to expensive, and the physics engines behind polygon graphics never come off as working properly to me. Are too realistic to present cartoon actions.

Qrphe4290d ago

I'm on the same boat.

Megaman X7 and X8 didn't feel as dynamic as any of the previous X games, Dracula X Chronicles didn't feel right, etc (can't think of other atm).
Only games that ever seemed to consistently pull it off were 2D shooters/shmups.

CrescentFang4290d ago

It's kind of how I feel with 2.5D fighters, though I've only really played the recent Capcom ones.

mrbojingles4290d ago

How did Capcom just now start doing Zombies a lot? They've been doing RE for a long time, just coz they add one more Zombie game doesn't mean they're going all out on Zombies.

And while I'm sure people want Mega Man back no Mega Man game is going to make that much of an impact for Capcom

Skateboard4290d ago

Casuals would jump ona Megaman in HD not Megaman in NES graphics, Capcom is such a fail this gen, no common sense in that company.

Neoprime4290d ago

Hey I'm not casual and I would jump on Megaman in HD.

CrazyInsane4290d ago

We all want Megaman to return , but do we want it to return under Capcom's name ?

lizard812884289d ago

It's not like we have much choice. Inafune said he would finish MegaMan Legends 3 after he left if they let him, and they said no.

Good good good. Take your time... But don't wait too long.. lol. Need some Mega Man 202X

ZeekQuattro291d ago

5 years was than enough time for a new Mega Man game. The RE franchise had 3 remakes and RE8 in the last five years. Mega Man ain't that deep Capcom. Get it done. 🤣

GoodGuy09290d ago (Edited 290d ago )

The first brand spanking new megaman I really want them to make is... actually revive and continue the Legends 3 game. Realistically though, the next would probably be megaman 12, then a new battle network game.

Can we get an X reboot in 2-D with anime cutscenes?

I like Megaman but always thought X was cooler.

VersusDMC290d ago

Totally agree on X coming back but with an 3d look like Guilty gear Strive or DBZ Fighterz. Cutscenes for those games look like an anime.

Still want it to be a 2D platformer with a more expansive Metroidvania type map.

For a while there it looked like Inafune's Mighty No. 9 lit a fire under Capcom's ass and they were forced to announce MM11 in response. When it was revealed that Might No. 9 was a nothing burger and MM11 under performed Capcom quietly shelved MM again outside of the occasional MM collection. At this rate they'll announce a Star Force or Power Fighters collection before MM12 or MMX8.

Mega Man 11 is the best selling title in the entire franchise

ZeekQuattro490d ago

We're heading on the five year mark since 11. Sounds like it wasn't good enough for a Capcom. Franchise record or not.

Bobertt490d ago

At least we have the Battle Network collection coming in April.
