Two unannounced titles from Sony confirmed for gamescom

According to the private invitations for the gamescom, Sony will show two unannounced titles during the event this year.

I would love to see/hear about Killzone 4. Well kinda anyways, I loved Killzone 2 a lot but like many people, I thought Killzone 3 was a huge step back in many ways (I'm referring to the multiplayer here).

I have a feeling though that Sony has studios such as Guerilla Games, Sucker Punch and Media Molecule working on PS4 games at this point so that they can have a strong launch for the console.

Sony still has games such as PlayStation All-Stars, Little Big Planet Karting (the beta is amazing fun), God of War Ascension, The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls to see the PS3 through until next holiday season exclusives-wise. When you take that into account along with the huge wealth of rumours implying that we'll see PS4 and next Xbox announcements at next years E3, and I can't see Sony keeping other studios busy on the PS3 at this point.

I hope they shown their new IP (im sure i read that they're working on one). Love GG's games! A game with good graphics is beautiful to look at while playing and in some ways adds to the experience.

I'm a Killzone fan 100%, but I hope it's not a new Killzone. I would rather GG save all their eggs and let them hatch for a launch title next gen, unless, the game is already done of course. Honestly, all they need to do is add a few more maps to KZ3 and I would die a happy nerd.

Vita launched with more games than the 3ds garnered in a year. The vita had like over 30 games at launch. Stop making excuses for silly decisions. The Wii u should have more games announced for its launch and Nintendo should stop with the secrets. I know fanboys like to pretend and talk about how Nintendo is high and mighty but the system is coming out in a few months and people still don't know a lot about the Wii u.

Nintendo hasn't announced any release date, specs, pricing, exact game at launch and a few other things. Nintendo relies on gullible fanboys to trick and spread their garbage.

i am not expecting a new game from GG or SP till ps4. I think son has shown enough for ps3 but most if not all of their owned developers are hard to work on ps4 games.

also i do believe most if not all of the games will also come out on ps3 because the graphics difference won't be as big as it was from last gen to this.

GG are working on 2 games one KZ4 which you can bet sony will show off with ps4 to show what the system is able to produce. And Uncharted 4 most likely is also in development

Someone below mentioned something about history....so allow me to demonstrate good history:

XBOX 360 (2005), PS3 (2006), Wii (2006), all launched during the holiday season, and the Wii U launching holiday 2012.

But it doesn't just stop there: DREAMCAST launched Holiday 1998 and holiday 1999.
GAMECUBE and XBOX 1 also launched in Holiday (2001)

Only the PS2 launched (in Japan) in a strange March 2000 timeframe....but then turned to the holidays to launch for North America and Europe.

Where am I going with all of this?
All of these systems had 1 year, and sometimes closer to 2 years lead time, from announcement to launch, for marketing and manufacturing purposes.

If there's no mention, showing, or announcement of a PS4 at Gamescom 2012 next month, or at TGS 2012 in September, then it's pretty much over for the "pro PS4 in 2013" guys.

Also don't forget all the big games are so far coming out early 2013. So far we haven't been told of any games coming at the end of 2013 which is very unusual as we'd usually know of at least 3 by now. I find that a bit suspect, don't you?

That's not true at all. Sony is known to support their older consoles when the new ones launch. Not everyone wants to buy the new hardware instantly.

The PS4 still has a huge chance of coming out in late 2013. It just means Sony hasn't lost it's way with supporting older hardware (like they supported the PS1 and PS2 for 3 or so years after the successors were released).

I find it absolutely ridiculous that people actually think that the PS4 releasing means Sony stops PS3 game development from existing. The only idea I get from that is they started on the Xbox (Microsoft dropped Xbox support like a bad habit when the 360 was released), and if that is so, I have sympathy for them, and understand their lack of knowledge on the subject.

Vita won't sell untill they improve the online 3G play. It should be a one time yearly fee and everyone will pick it up. Just imagine playing call of duty in school at lunch online or the bus or train home from work.

What you want is a handheld with 4G (maybe even 5G). 4G is still in it's infancy and doesn't have a huge infrastructure yet. Maybe Sony will release a 4G version of the Vita in the future, but I don't think they wanted to drive the price up at launch. Particularly since 3G itself is an experiment for them.

For now you have Wi-Fi, Ad-Hoc, and Single Player modes.

Theres so many sequels to already released PS3 games that I'd love to be announced, Killzone 4, Resistance 4 (even though not Insomniac, would be awesome to see the Killzone engine used for a 4th iteration), inFamous 3, Unchartered 4, to mention a few (weirldy they are all pt.4's).

But Sony has a ridiculously good back catalogue of awesome PS1 & PS2 games that I'm begging get the PS3 treatment. The Getaway 3 being re-announced would be a good start, even better would be Syphon Filter & Medievil PS3 (these are so logical, it's illogical they haven't been done yet).
Also, the re-commencement of 8 Days development would be sick. The Mark Of Kri sequel also, Demolition Derby is a no brainer also, a sequel to another under rated but awesome PS2 title in Primal 2. Ghosthunter 2. Jet Moto. Kinetica 2. NBA Shootout.

There are so many PS1, PS2 & to a lesser degree PS3 games that are yearning for sequels that it's frustrating seeing them be squandered away to forgotteness.
Medievil is a true classic & Dan Fortesque one of the best game characters ever, so it's sacrilidge for Sony to let them die off. Gabe Logan also starred in one of my favorite games ever & he's also been neglected on PS3. It truly is a shame, & is probably a big reason Sony's PS3 hasn't shared anywhere near the sales it's 2 forefathers did.
