First Deadpool game details - third-person shooter, Nolan North voicing, out next year

Didn't like him in the Prince of Persia 2008 remake. Voice was too enthusiastic, 80% of everything he said was some kind of quip or sarcastic remark, and North used his regular voice. I liked the lightheartedness but it was a bit overkill.

North is okay. He puts energy into his roles and stuff, but when he uses his regular voice he really isn't that great.

@Shepherd- Fact is some characters requires the actor's real voice, which is good enough for a character like Drake, I know he does the voice of Deadpool very great, from watching Hulk vs Wolverine which is more of its own, while others keep his real voice!!!

The jokes were a tad immature for me, but I like the randomness of Deadpool and High Moon have already proved themselves with Transformers. Hopefully the more we see the game the more it grows on me.

I don't read the comics, but from seeing Deadpool in Marvel vs Capcom 3, the Wolverine vs Hulk movie, and the Deadpool and Friends youtube channel I was hoping for more crazy random 4th wall breaking antics not "boobs boobs I shit my pants".

What makes Deadpool so interesting is that he somehow knows the readers of his comics are there. He interacts with you. I think they could really do a good job with a unique character like him if they put effort into it. I would love a user interactive comic book game. I kind of want to see it flow like Comix Zone did on Genesis. Where the outside world is apart of the story in many ways.

dear nolan, give it a rest, look ur voice is ok, very common sounding and not unpleasant or anything, but fu#%king-A man, every freaking game you're in you sound the same, and i keep thinking, why the hell is drake talking!

edit....whoa, ok, i didnt know he was penguin, so thats cool, i just hate when he does the drake voice in other games, it pulls me out of the game

army of two, dark void, and a few others i cannot think of he totally just sounds like drake from uncharted and it kills the immersion, not that those particular games were all that immersive

Nolan is literally in EVERYTHNG, but most of the time you can't tell its him because he's so freakin' talented and has a range far beyond his "Nathan Drake" voice.

You know he voiced the Penguin in Arkham City right?

I'm a big fan of his, and his Drake voice is absolutely awesome, but even I have to admit that he does that voice in A LOT of games and it really detracts from it.....

Off the top of my head go play Uncharted, Assassins Creed, Army of Two, Dark Void, Spec Ops, and then watch this trailer too....He sounds the same. I think he changed it enough for this one, but there are areas where I'm still like 'woh its Drake talking"

Not taking any credit away from his other roles. He is capable of changing his voice, and doing it rather well, but some games he just sounds the same.

The voice for Drake is Nolan's original voice. That's what he sounds like in person.

The Nathan Drake voice is Nolan North's natural voice. It's the voice directors choice on what voice they want to hear from the actor and the actors job to fulfill the directors preference.

There has only been 2 Deadpool voice actors. John Kassir (Buster Bunny, The Crypt Keeper) and of course Nolan North. They both did a very excellent job. =)

Why do people complain about something as trivial as this? That's like complaining that Tom Cruise looks and talks the same in all of his movies. Nolan North is a great voice actor. I bet you also wouldn't know that he was in Ratchet and Clank a Crank in Time without someone telling you.

It all depends on what the developers want... many want the Nathan Drake voice

However he can do a lot more. He was the cores in portal, penguin from arkham city, hades from GOW1, someone in rachet and clank,etc

Oh no deadpool was a copy of deathstroke oh no!!! Apparently you don't look at the world of super heroes much because they are all pretty much a copy of each other. DC and Marvel play off of each other all the time and there isn't anything wrong with that. This game has promise especially with high moon studios behind it. Just in case you didn't know they do the GOOD transformers games.

Being made by High moon studios activision is just publishing it. High moon studios has the good transformers games under their belt so im excited.

Yeah but how much did the DLC for them cost, how much of an advertising budget did it get and is Activision really the type of company to get behind an IP, Deadpool, and throw money at it which hasn't been proven to succeed yet... or are they the type of company to fling out a game cause they think it might be popular... like I said I'm still moderately happy.
