First, I can understand that someone didn't enjoy a game for any number of reasons, but when you talk about how Uncharted is more movie than game and that R&C is, basically, boring than I think you are a complete, flaming idiot. Second, he's now lost me, forever, when he's pushing the bargain bin Shadowrun as GOTY material. WTF, over?

Uncharted was ACTION packed. So much so that, IMO, at times it was too much action since I would've liked a little more puzzle solving. And Ratchet not being exciting?!? Holy sh!t, I couldn't put the game down because it was so damned much fun. Yes, I'm kind of biased, but I'm also a gamer and would recommend these games to anyone that has even a passing interest in games.

It's obvious this guy is a MS fanboy if after all the bashing he's trying to sell you on Shadowrun of all games. I don't think I've heard one person, seen one article, read one blog that even mentioned this game after it dropped to bad reviews and MS shut down the developer.

Shadowrun would be a good game *IF* it was bargain priced.

The big problem with Shadowrun is its lack of contents - that has been clarified by many reviews. Shadowrun has few online modes and few maps, and the game was asking for $60 when it first came out. GameSpot or GameTrailers basically called that "highway robbery." That's why reviewers bashed the game. It was asking for too much money for the pathetically meager content it offered.

Now that its price has been cut to budget level, it's actually a pretty good value. He did clarify that it's his "USED/BUDGET Game of the Week".

Uncharted IS 7 hours long and really is not that great.I know, I just finished it 3 days ago and it is already sold on ebay. That game IS a rent and you know it. I don't think Uncharted was that chatty. It's one of the few games that had me anticipating the next cut scene.

Also, you can change the sensitivity for aiming. The hidden treasures are optional to unlock bonuses. It's tedious only if you want it to be.

well even though I'm not a fan of most ps3 games, I do get to play most of them since my roomate owns one and rents most ps3 games to check them out before he buys them and imo his comments seem a little over the top, I mean from what little I played of both games I thought Uncharted was good, and R&C isn't my thang but I can see its a good game also, imo they weren't "OMG amazing" like sonykids claim but like I said they were easily good games. I haven't played far enough into Uncharted to form an opinion, but R&C did get boring...I did quit after about six hours, which is a shame because I loved the earlier games. As for Shadowrun, he's recommending it as a used game...and I have to say that Shadowrun was a very fun game to play. What killed Shadowrun in game sales was the high price point, but it was fun.

He speaks the truth. I played and beat Uncharted. Great game but nothing special about it. The actual gameplay was nothing different from all the others before it. Plus the ending was truly dissapointing. R&C is just for kids and not my thing. Atleast Shadowrun took the FPS genre and shook it up a bit with magic spells. Funny thing is that Shadowrun got crappy scores because the lack of gametypes and single player but Warhawk has less.

Bottom line is that Uncharted is a great game that averaged in the high 8's. Nothing more, nothing less.

He bashed Uncharted and Ratchet for being being too simple and trying to lean on their visuals but Shadowrun is as simplistic of a multiplayer game as that came out this year. It's a mediocre game that relied on whatever little gimmick of playing with PC counterparts to sell it. A few interesting weapons but nothing that dazzles you and the entire structure of the game is nothing to brag about.

This is an article from my hometown's newspaper, Lafayette IN. Thats crazy, I usually agree with this guy, My roommate got uncharted when he picked up his ps 3. It looks Unbelievable but the game play was a little wonky. Ratchet and Clank games are just not the "type" some people prefer. In case you are wondering this guy isn't really a Xbox fanboy, he gave Motorstorm either 3 1/2 or 4 stars, he's usually pretty fair.

Not enough cutscenes. There's a ton of awesome gameplay, but the cutscenes were so damn good that I couldn't get enough of them. Still haven't beaten Ratchet though; it's a long game (I'm guessing 20+ hours since I'm exploring a lot) and Call of Duty has taken over my system.

All I have to say is "O RLY?"... The same way this critic don't like this game, the other who have give this high rates (as himself told in the text) loved it, but this is just a matter of opinion, like every review, like dealing with every reviewer...

And really, if I have to follow any reviewer, I will not follow someone that criticize a game for good dialogues and slow shooter mechanics (since it's not a shooter, more of a action/adventure). Really, this guy looks like that pathetic short minded that prize shooters above all, the kind of people that really thinks FPSs are the only big thing on earth...

Uncharted is freaking awesome.. The cutscenes make the story and bring u more into the game.. The game is fast paced and never gets boring.. If you want to talk about to many cutscenes and not enough action go play mass effect..

Ratchet is far from a kids game.. Even my buddies have a hard time playing it.. They keep dying. I laugh because the game is easy but its one really fun game.. Its a game for everyone.. And you just dont run around and shoot things for 6 hours like this moron says.. U have tons of weapons and gadgets to use, you can fly, ripslide, and even fight in a arena to gain bolts. U can turn yourself into a pirate and dance the jig, lol. Or you can fly across a whole stage and look for hidden bolts and do what ever you want.. This game is far from repetative. Thats a$$ creed...and its a very long game too.. I already put about 12 hours into it and i dont see it ending anythime soon..

Dont listen to this guy because he has no clue what he is talking about. I know its his own opinion but he's dead wrong.. Both of these games are great and if you play them you will know that..

Whoa! Props to you and foo on me for not seeing the obvious whiz right by. Seriously, when have you EVER seen someone review two games at once? This wasn't even a "review" as it barely talked about the games themselves. The whole point was basically "The best PS3 games totally suck!"

Total hatchet job. I swear, these little things just keep getting funnier to me. They really do look increasingly desperate: "HD-DVD's winning!"; "The PS3 doesn't have any good games!". It's almost as if some of the competition, in gaming and elsewhere, are basically scared sh1tless about what's coming.

And yeah, these little tidbits get way too much attention, but comments are...you know...comments.

This guy is a tool. The way he described both games, I know for a fact that he didn't play the games for long. I think the purpose of being a reviewer is to play through a ENTIRE game and then give your review. Not play the first 45 minutes and then write them off. Everything he described about Drake happens withing the first hour, hour and a half, damn what a pro. And Ratchet, he might as well only played the demo. There are various Weapons, gadgets and devices and yet no mention of how they add or subtract from the final game. This guy is a joke, I know the 360 fanboys are loving it and thats the sad part. As a gamer all of us should take offence when a tool like this writes a review that is a total hack job. Hollywood tried to bash on Halo 3 for their weak weekend the week of its launch and I defended Halo whole-hearted, I would expected TRUE Gamers no matter what your system perfernce is to do the same for this sameless attempt in trying to included himself (the reviewer) in something he knows nothing about.
