OXCGN:
"It’s hot.
And I mean REALLY hot.
My English friends complain about the cold, rainy climate of England all while I’m sitting in Louisiana’s subtropical climate, with a “comfortable” 93 degrees Fahrenheit today (which translates to around 34 on the Communist scale) and 70% humidity.
In summary, you really shouldn’t be outside.
And we at OXCGN are here to offer a reprieve from the boredom that may ensue."
Alan Wake, from Max Payne and Control creator Remedy, is a horror classic, prompting one player to buy 4,000 copies that don’t even work.
Kind of a goody story...
On a serious note, that is why I try activating gift cards asap. It's happened to me where the store didnt scan it right where the card was unusuable. Happened at Wally World.
Usually most of those redemption card have an expiry date on them. If they expired all buyer did was buy recycled paper. And some of those codes are country locked to certain countries. I buy a card from the States I can't use it in Canada.
Dumb and silly story. She wasted her money for no reason.
Is it really that hard to go to Steam or GOG. She spent $240, when its currently 70% off on GOG, and only costs $4.49.
Gee, I wonder, should I spend $240 on eBay, or $4.49 on GOG? 🙄
So in short she paid $240.00 assuming usd for a bunch on unactivated game codes.
I still don't understand why I guess cause there's not a physical version and she wanted something for a collection or art project.
Metro 2033 mechanics that would adapt perfectly to VR, and the upcoming Metro Awakening by Vertigo Games this year.
Cultured Vultures: In the spirit of preserving some kind of history of this industry, we’ve decided to list some of the best games that you just simply can’t get hold of digitally at the minute.
I just started playing Spec op. I've had it for years on steam and forgot about it. Such a good game.
Honorable mention to the excellent Driveclub, one of the best racing games of all-time and one of my favourite games ever.
Outrun Online Arcade, Sega Rally Online Arcade, After Burner Climax... all good stuff. I keep my 360 hooked up to play these as well as the TMNT games that were also delisted.
wow...I have all of them except the Nintendo ones either in physical or digital version.
Also..Deadpool the Game is missing on that list.
Summer? Bah, it's wet and freezing here where I am in OZ at the moment.
But perfect gaming weather, so this will be helpful...
Really good choices.
Alan Wake was one of the reasons I bought a 360, I was satisfied once it was finally released after being delayed for so long!
MGS Collection is another quality gem, especially for those like myself who never played the originals on the Playstation. Right up there with Orange Box quality.
Hopefully Metro 2033 gets a bit more attention once 2034 is closer to release.
I know it's a few years old now, but I think Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is a vastly overlooked game. Highly recommended to anyone who hasn't played.
Can't recommend any of these games enough, except Spec Ops, which I've yet to play. Heard very good things though.
I also recommend both Darkness games. First one's cheap, and I'd be surprised if #2 isn't down to $40 yet. They're both great on their own in very different ways (first is a lot more grounded in reality, second is like madworld with guns) and tell really good, dark stories, even if there are a few continuity gaffes between the two.
