wait now im confused? first the future was DD only. then the future is IOS tablet games. now its Free to play? goosh which is it?.......

i don't have a problem with FTP games as it lets me get a good feel for what i am getting, i may spend £10-£15 on micro transactions BUT thats half the price of a normal game.

i played DCU for a while then decided to invest in the DLC which gave me premium access to the game.....i can't argue with stuff like that as it is an affordable way to play a game.

FTP is defo the biggest money maker in the industry.....when you hear companies like Nexon making billions every year from FTP games you know its not a failing formula.

The future will be diverse as new models are created. But there will always be people want to own what they play. SO say that to future is going to be only this or only that is ignorant and short sided.

And FYI if EA were to ask me for a dollar to reload my gun Id tell them to kiss me ass.

I can see this Freemium model being abused just like DLC as a way of getting even more money for a game.

This future when u have to be confronted during the game with paying for ammo? That would COMPLETELY ruin the gaming experience for me...that is a terrible future! That is the day i quit. THERE IS NO FUN IN THIS BS...what the F are they thinking? This goes completely against what make gaming fun. Everybody should protest against this microtransaction nonsense! I hate these prospects & everybody seems to go blind nowadays. Gamers WAKEUP! EA & others are going to ruin our beloved hobbies, F2P is just a shake down.

This is different...'Micro-transac tions' is the worst possible future for us gamers. It's becoming like a casino. It should be boycotted by us. We do not want ur micro-transactions, move along. DLC is different, but also a shitty development. DLC used to be free, we buy the game and then get extra DLC as a service to the gamers. DLC now? U mean like they did with AC2 when u miss a couple of chapters and have to pay for the DLC the play them? It's shit..and fraud..and interruption during gaming by micro-transactions? Where does it stop? It make me sick. Wake up dude, they are F-ing up gaming. Greed is rampant and the worst motivater for making great games. We need more passionate developers instead of corporate business suits aiming for profit by selling gimped halfbaked games.

there is room for F2P. the longer you play it the more you could spend. perfect for when you buy a game and play it 1 hour and then shelve the POS for good.

If I've gotta pay you for something as simple as bullets, you're not getting my money. I don't care if I've got 600 hours invested in your game. And if all of gaming is taking that route, then you can count me out of gaming's future.
