If those PSV numbers are accurate then WOW.

GrumpyOldGamer4314d ago

Release of Persona 4 helped a lot, great sales numbers in japan for it. Japan is finally seeing some good PSV games, hope they keep um coming (here in the US as well)...

3DS is still having beast numbers. I am ready for the 3DS XL... The portable market is thriving. Numbers will continue to grow from here on out...

TheFirstClassic4314d ago

Yeah its great to see it coming up in sales.

Awesome_Gamer4314d ago

A new GTA/COD could easily push Vita to number 1 in sales

kneon4314d ago

And don't forget AC 3 Liberation, that could do really well. I'm actually more interested in Liberation than AC3 and I haven't even bought a Vita yet.

mewhy324314d ago

But what market was the jump in? If it was only in Japan then the overall impact will not be sustained, as it's a small market. I want it to take off in europe a the US. Those are the bulk of the whole market.

Derekvinyard134314d ago

is there really 151,526,220 DS's Sold?? i don't usually look at these charts cause there most likely wrong but half the news articles that come up on this site talk about how Nintendo is falling. 3Ds maybe isn't doing so well but that's a shitload of sales.

fei-hung4314d ago

If Gravity Rush and Persona 4 done this to VITA sales, what will Call of Duty and Phantasy Star Online 2 do to the Vita sales?

and once Capcom see the sales numbers for something like PSO2 (considering they are decent), how long will it be before the Vita gets its very own Monster Hunter?!

Shagohad4314d ago

I hope that with the Monster Hunter Unite sale on PSN (it's in the US for sure, I don't know about other regions though) a lot of Digital sales are made so that it's apparent to Sony that there is definitely a market in the US (and possibly other territories) for Monster Hunter outside of Japan.

"More perverts on ps3 then xbox with lolipop chainsaw?"

It looks like Gravity Rush & Persona 4 really helped the Vita in sales. One an absolutely original game & the other a remake of one of the best JRPGs ever made.

See all the Vita needs to be successful is to have the games not a desperate price cut. A price cut would be nice but not entirely necessary.

boybato4314d ago

it would be nice though so all my stingy friends would buy it. lol

clrlite4314d ago

If they saw enough good advertisements for it, they would find a way to buy it anyway, no? :]

Looking forward to getting a Vita and I'm glad to see strong sales, especially for the handhelds.

Proving a lot of presumptuous "journalists" wrong as usual.

Although these numbers might not be precise, There's a chance that the handheld market may be stronger than ever.

CommonSenseGamer4314d ago (Edited 4314d ago )

Dream on. Vita needs a price cut and if it does not get one for xmas then it will get left behind.

Hicken4314d ago

... so you're looking dead at a drastic change in the Vita's sales, brought on WITHOUT a price cut, and all you can say is that the Vita needs a price cut?

How desperate are you?

TheLyonKing4313d ago

For someone with the title commonSenseGamer you aren't showing much Common Sense. As you can see just one game has surged the vita upwards.

Common Sense would dictate that games are what drives the platform, yes a price cut would be good but then sony loses out on some needed profits.

SpinalRemains1384313d ago

Just like the ipad, right?

Whats that thing cost? 600 minimum?

Stop with the price cut. The Vita is 250.

Thats a bargain.

mushroomwig4314d ago

I don't work for Sony and I certainly don't have any stocks invested but that doesn't change the fact that I can't stop smiling after seeing how the Vita is bouncing back. I'm a gamer, obviously sales are important to me because the success of a product determines whether or not the games still get made.

PoSTedUP4314d ago (Edited 4314d ago )

sales are like the politics of gaming. u bet your ass i want my team to win and takeover cause they have the best product. i aint ashamed to admit that. i'm a gamer too. and gaming has obviously changed as we progressed intellectually.

AFK Journey Review: A Rewarding Gacha Experience - ESTNN

Paul G Writes: "AFK Journey is a free open-world, role-playing gacha centered on creating your own team of powerful heroes. Here, you play as the reincarnation of the great mage Merlin, solving a mystery surrounding a malignant corruption.

On its surface, AFK Journey's gorgeous visuals, strategic gameplay and dynamic characters promise a wholly fun experience for new and old players alike. Journey even has a very easy pity system that makes getting rare heroes a breeze.

That said, AFK Journey still presents the usual flaws in big gacha entries, including a lack of accessibility features, bad voice direction and predatory microtransactions."
