According to a post by Assistant Community Production Coordinator, Courtney Woods, the 1.3 Allies patch for SWTOR will be up and running after tomorrow's maintenance downtime. For those who haven't been keeping tabs on SWTOR, the 1.3 update brings some much needed TLC to The Old Republic. For starters, those looking for a more serious method of PVP can look forward to ranked warzones (something that was axed right before the 1.2 update). More importantly however, is the addition of a group finder. This little tool will allow you to find groups for heroic missions, operatives, warzones and flashpoints.
EA is nearing an agreement to move the ongoing development and operation of MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic from BioWare to third-party studio Broadsword Online Games, IGN has learned. The move is intended to allow BioWare to focus on Mass Effect and Dragon Age.
A new update for Star Wars: The Old Republic is coming out on PC and the patch notes provide us with an in-depth look at all the new changes.
I loved this game and have played since launch but don't let this article fool you, this game is a step above life support. While they are still technically updating the game, the updates are few and far between and there is a significant lack of quality control, so many little bugs that have been present for years.
SWTOR players, get ready for a new month of exciting in-game events! Here's what's coming up in January 2023.
Could this change SWTOR’s fate? I don't think it will, nothing against the game I loved it (when I played) but I just couldn't see the justification in paying £8 a month for a seemingly single-player experience.
I think once it goes F2P, and it will, the subs will rise again and it could save the MMO. hell I might even play it again when it goes F2P, unless GW2 takes up all of my time.
Did they finally decide to add in ranked warzones? Also I don't really trust this guy since he doesn't even know when the game was launched but the official site does confirm this.
haven't touched this game in a couple months - been busy with Dragon's Dogma, Max Payne 3, Tera Online and the past couple Guild War 2 and The Secret World Beta weekends.
making it easier to find groups for Heroic Missions is a nice addition assuming there are enough people to form a group.
Paying $15 a month to play this game seems like it would drive me to play SW:TOR more... but meh
Secret World has my attention for the moment.. but all MMOs eventually lead to grinding and I get bored.
I'm done with it. I am done with MMOs. If SWTOR comes back and goes Guild Wars on us. I'll jump on it. But I'll play GW2 and nothing else.
Seems like a lot of people are really mad that the patch is coming out tomorrow. A mix of people yelling it's not ready, new project animation is weak and sucks, class imbalances, and of course people saying that rated Warzones and 1.3 in general is not ready and very bugged. They are under the impression it is being pushed out regardless of condition just so they can grab resubs for their next earnings call and pad the sub loss as much as possible.
