Resident Evil 6: Bringing People Together

At E3 2012, Capcom offered a glimpse of the three different scenarios we’ll be playing in Resident Evil 6. Players could enjoy a co-op between Leon Kennedy and newcomer Helena Harper in classic survival-horror style in a Tall Oaks full of zombies, face a boss battle with Jake Muller (son of longtime series baddie Albert Wesker) and Sherry Birkin (aka the little girl from RE2), or battle across the rooftops of China with Chris Redfield and his partner Tony Ponce. But the company also revealed a new feature behind closed doors: the Crossover system, an evolution of the dual-threaded Scenario mechanic from Resident Evil 2, this time not only intersecting the story of different characters but also bringing their gameplay together in four-player co-op situations.

Capcom isn't forcing anyone to play co-op are they? Since it is co-op though i'm sure the story's going to be affected in some way but RE games never had the most amazing story telling in their games. I actually liked what I played from the E3 demo. Leon's part was actually creepy. Granted i understand how most of you feel, RE5's co-op ruined that game. Hopefully they've perfected it since then.

If you want to be scared just simulate what those guys did at their e3 booths: dark room with astro a40's on full blast lolol

I'm probably going to run through the game solo for my first playthrough and then later on co-op.

Every time i see or hear anything about this game I hate it more and more. I'm a big defender of the DMC reboot/remake or what ever you call it. I seriously can't wait for that game and think they have done a great job being different just enough but also at least trying to stick with it's roots in terms of game play. On the other hand, This series is just taking a big shit on all of it's original fan base. The story is so fucking wacky now that's it's not even in the same ball park it once was, the game play is completely different in every way, shape and form and I don't think the word Horror or survival are even in their vocabulary anymore. Very sad that one of my most beloved franchises has turned into this. I'm not saying this type of game stinks, I actually like games like this. (gears, Mass Effect, Ghost Recon, Rainbow 6, etc) But I also love the survival Horror games and sadly this is a dying breed. Not every game needs to be a run n' gun action shooter. Get it through your fucking thick skulls, Capcom. Go back to what made you a tier 1, AAA developer.

Yeah, I have no problem with DmC, especially since it's a reboot that doesn't mess with the prior games' continuity. Capcom took a franchise and did a complete switch around with Resident Evil 4 and 5. They should of just done TPS spin offs in my opinion.
