For those of us who were worried about EA and Visceral catering to a wider audience for Dead Space 3, you need not to worry. The gameplay may have some changes, as Issac can now roll to avoid enemy attacks, and co-op is making its first appearance in the series. But, after watching the full closed-doors single player demo, I’m pretty sure that the fans have a lot to look forward to.
If EA and Motive Studio plan on remaking all the main Dead Space entries, they have to change a lot of what made Dead Space 3 so divisive.
Simple, do not bother with a Dead Space 3 remake. Rather have a new entry for Dead Space.
Remaking 3 would need to be a reworked and somewhat changed remake as 3 was flawed in most peoples eyes and the worst entry.
WTMG's Kyle Nicol:
"Was Dead Space 3 really that bad?
Well, it’s a complicated question. Dead Space 3 is undeniably the weakest of the trilogy. It’s a game that deviates so far from the original formula, that it throws a lot of what made Dead Space special in the first place out of the window. Although, where it does make up for it is one of the best cooperative shooters on the market, even after all this time. Do I recommend playing this game ten years later? Hell yes. But make sure your expectations are in the right place. It has a lot of problems that bring it down."
With the upcoming Dead Space Remake, we replay and rank the original three games.

...Lost Planet 3?
They need to seriously continue this ip with a new entry. Even if it's just another movie I don't care I love everything about this game.
Universal ammo... bleh. And every enemy drops universal ammo? This will make the "survival experience" suffer.
There are some generic enviroments and look at the train sequence! Inspired by Uncharted 2, huh? I love Uncharted 2, but I think they should stick with the Dead Space universe.
Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Dead Space fan. I am not saying the game will be bad, but I am disappointed. Most of their fans is probably disappointed and thanks to EA. EA is killing another franchise.
Thats what I wanted to see!!!
Looks great but I think this scene should have Issac Clark under moonlight rather than a daylight setting. Lesser light like moonlight creates more of a vulnerable and insecure feel to the player. Wide open areas alone kind of defeats these emotions a bit. So moonlight in this case would be good.
the universal ammo part and cover bugs me....but otherwise looks good
Definitely seems to have a lot less of the "creepy" factor than the last two. Still looks like an excellent action game, but as with Max Payne 3, it's sad to see so many of these franchises losing a bit of their identity to more testosterone-driven action settings.
Though it's still very early to be making assumptions, I guess. This was obviously just a small portion of the game.
