Man screw this Mod team. They have been working on this for dam near 10 years now! They are just using this as a way to gain hype and notability.

Operation Black Mesa (Half Life 1 Opposing force to Source conversion) will be done before Black Mesa and they have only been at it for about a year.

pretty good. heard this was free or am i wrong?

Veni Vidi Vici4330d ago (Edited 4330d ago )

You're correct. If it ever comes out, it will be free. I gave up hope though, a long time ago. I even think there was a post on N4G that said that the game should be about done because they released some info or music or something and they had previously said that if they released that info, it meant the game was done and about to be released. Well, that was like 6 months ago and I still haven't heard anything about it, so....

EDIT: I went back and found the story I was talking about.

It was about the release of music and they said to expect the game 2 weeks after the music release. Like I thought, that was 6 months ago. Still no game.

wow, its been that long? :I maybe they've been busy with their lives or something came in the way of their development. i just hope this game hasnt dropped off to death :C

Veni Vidi Vici4330d ago

It's vaporware. They said it would be released like back in 2008 or something.

I don't really care anymore about the long delayed project

whatever happen to unlocking characters by playing the game? lol

CaptainYesterday3929d ago

I know I miss that so much it sucks when characters and costumes are DLC :(

Blues Cowboy3929d ago

F2P games are starting to realise that. Everything can be unlocked in Planetside 2, for example.

Remember that these games are free, but have to make money somehow. A couple of quid here and there is probably not a big ask for something you'll play for 20 hours +.

That said, I still hate DLC that takes characters and stuff out in full-priced games. Either it's freemium or premium, you shouldn't have both.

Gran Touring3929d ago

Not to mention, Planetside 2's F2P model is pretty well implemeneted in that paying players have no strict advantage over players that dont.
