You can get a Blue ray without the PS3.

You can play DVD's without a 360

You can watch netflix on your Iphone or table in HD in some cases. And you dont have to leave your console running or be in the same room.

I know a lot of families that have plenty of money but they choose to save their money and only buy one nice TV. Plus the parents don't want their kids stuck in their room all day.

You never know how much they are gonna pay for the console. Plus if your a parent you wanna make your child happy. They want a Wii U for Christmas and you got the money why not get it for them. So what if the parent does not use it or rarely uses it. They are buying it for their child, if you were a parent you would probably understand better. I love Netflix on my Vita, but there are nine televisions in this house to watch Netflix on, so it rarely happens.

That and the Vita has an OLED screen...and the Wii U pad doesn't doesn't look as nice. :)

Why would you watch Netflix on your 3DS though? It is literally the WORST thing to watch Netflix on. The quality is just freakin' horrible!

I can communicate Netflix and YouTube between my television and my phone. EVERYBODY can do that. This is not a new idea.

Exactly what I wanted to say. I already have Netflix on my Xbox, IPad, laptop, and even iPhone.

I'm not trying to minimize this feature, but it should be expected in this day n age.

This remote needs to have a wrist strap if given to kids because lets face it they drop stuff. Hell even I drop my ps3 and xbox remote sometimes but this thing looks fragile. I can be wrong though. We need someone to test the remote with a small fall.

gribblegrunger mentioned vita.and you must not have a 3ds cause mine plays Netflix great and I use Netflix on 360,my Droid smartphone.and 3ds holds up well.I have my Netflix internet setting on high and 3ds looks good because of it.

see you probably saw a 3ds using a low internet stream option.

but my point is this is a wii-u story and yinz read about. it but hate it.it's just kinds a weird.cause I don't have ps3 so I don't read about cause I don't care about it.but yinz all talk shit about Nintendo stuff like your jealous.cause with my 360 ,wii,and 3ds.I play those and read about them I'm happy with my stuff so I could care less about Sony's stuff cause it don't effect me.

sorry but i just don't see this as a strength for the system. it's got nothing to do with being a fanboy, it's got everything to do with being a thinker. what the Wiiu needs is a compelling reason to buy one and as of now, i don't really see one. if one appears at launch then count me in... but until then i'll remain sceptical. i didn't jump in with the PS3 either. i waited three years before i bought one
