E3 2012: Need For Speed: Most Wanted [Preview] - IncGamers

It may share exactly the same name, but don’t expect Need For Speed: Most Wanted (2012 edition) to share everything in common with its 2005 counterpart. With Criterion once again handling development duties on a Need For Speed release, this one is likely to take its cues from things Criterion learned from titles like Burnout Paradise and Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit.

I have been skeptical, but I'm hearing this game is basically the spiritual successor to paradise. The E3 demo didn't blow me away, but it did look great graphically and if it truly is a successor to paradise. I am sold.

most wanted and burnout paradise are two of my ALL TIME favorite street racer games, both combined equals skeet skeet skeet

This MOSTWANTED i felt needed help.
Criterion keep adding burnout style racing to NEED FOR SPEED imo. criterion will become like BLACKBOX studio a FAILURE. last year EA mention going back to NFS roots and so far has fail to accomplish that. good lord, a 9th NFS flop. maybe jonh fertellio or whatever his last name is failing to see or use porsche unleashed, highstakes, the need for speed, nfs 2,3 engine. if they going to go back to its ROOTS start there.

Looking Back to Two of Need for Speed's Best Games - Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit

Paul writes - "EA know a good thing when they see it, and for multiple years November was Need for Speed month. In a break from the usual routine, I'm going to be looking back at two games here, released in 2005 and 2010 respectively. The earlier game is Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which has the distinction of being one of the very best in the franchise. The second game comes from 2010, and is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit; which I'll talk about just as the Remastered version of the game has hit the stores."

I completely adore this game! In fact its probably my favorite racing game. I recently dusted off my xbox 360 to play Most Wanted 2005. Still a great game, though I do not remember there being such horrible performance. Like massive frame-pacing issues. screen tearing, latency. If any game ever truly needed to be remastered, it this one for sure!
