Don't rely on Super's only K.O, make different Modes,Arc the Lad,Wander,Sackboy= Day 1

smashcrashbash4347d ago (Edited 4347d ago )

Why? What is so wrong about relying on Supers for a KO? All the reasons people have been giving is nothing but unreasonable BS. You fight to raise your special meter and you unleash it or you wait until your Super is at maximum and you unleash that instead. What is the big deal?

@ PHOSADRA. Is it really necessary to just completely copy SSB and not try to distance themselves from it. People are making a big deal about this forgetting that people who are used to working on fighting games are the ones developing this. I understand if people might want a different modes and if that is the case fine. But if not don't you think we should try to give this way of fighting a chance before we condemning it? I mean which is it people want, for it not to be like SSB or to be exactly like SSB. It can't be both.

A lot like Dissidia, one of the best fighting games to date

PHOSADRA4347d ago

I think that the super only K.O. mode will be the default mode of the game. With some additional modes which resemble SSB available to appeal to a wider audience.

Don't forget nariko from heavenly sword.

Isaac Clarke would make a nice 3rd party addition. I know it probably won't happen, but Dead Space is a solid franchise. He has some cool weapons and he could call on some xenomorphs for his specials.

regardless, can't wait to see how the full roster shapes up!

My biggest concern is that they milk the game with DLC and make us pay for characters that should already be on the game

Hicken4347d ago

This is Sony, not Capcom. Hell, even Microsoft wouldn't do that... I hope.

smashcrashbash4347d ago

That is true. We all know Capcom is the king of DLC milking. I am sure that even if they offer DLC later they will at least give us a lot of characters to begin with.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Launched 10 Years Too Early

Though PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale is a bit of a cult classic, it could have been a big hit if it launched in 2022 instead of 2012.

It wouldn't have mattered, Sony would've rushed it out and left it to die. More so now than before with their focus now being on SP narrative driven AAA games.

CrimsonWing69514d ago

Oh, but somehow Smash Bros. 64 made it work?

It just couldn’t compete with Smash Bros. and it wasn’t a free-to-play game like Multiversus.

PapaBop514d ago

I think it released at the right time. It's just after the success of Smash and Multiversus, it's finally time for a sequel.

spoonard514d ago

I'd be all in on a remake or remaster of the original. I enjoyed it because I didn't sit there and compare every aspect to SSB. I just enjoyed it as it was.

Magatsuhi514d ago

Sony should make part 2 and dump a good amount of money on it. Scrap super only kills and it's bound to succeed.

Father__Merrin514d ago

Yes the power kills spoilt it completely WTH was they thinking you should have hp bar that's it

God of War: Ragnarok Weirdly Makes PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Canon

God of War: Ragnarok has plenty of fun references to PlayStation history, but now fans have discovered a conversation that calls back to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale — the crossover fighting game released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Nyxus522d ago

I wouldn't say canon. More like an easter egg.

Deathdeliverer521d ago

That’s interesting. It actually does make it canon lol. He mentioned it in a mainline game. I’d say that’s pretty cool.
