Nintendo Universe writes:
Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford, as one of the few currently vocal about the strengths of the Wii U, has continued his glowing praise of the system and unique controller.
Multiple future Gearbox Software projects, including Borderlands 4 and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands 2 have been spotted.
Hopefully, they fired the entire writing team after B3 cause that dialogue was truly atrocious.
FFS make something else. If you can't make anything new, at least bring back Brothers In Arms or something.
I know it will never happen (for obvious story reasons that's happened) but I wish we could play the original Vault hunters again with new abilities you could choose to develop in a skill branch. Never really felt I could get behind most of them after the first game, especially move wise. Lilith's phase walk will always be the best to me.
Speaking of Lilith, I'm kind of wondering how they'll get around the whole Siren thing since they wrote themselves into a corner saying there's "only 6 Sirens in the entire universe" and now thanks to Borderlines 3 they apparently pass on their abilities meaning once we see each of 6 powers available that's it, no new brand new ones. I don't know why they don't just say there's more than 6 since all of them in the ENTIRE Universe just conveniently coming to Pandora is a bit strange.
Good news for Gearbox and Pinball Fans. Zen Studios today announced a partnership with fellow Embracer Group developer Gearbox Software to bring classic game series to life in pinball form with Gearbox® Pinball. This three-pack of digital tables is set for release when Zen’s new Pinball FX platform hits PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series x/s.
“Future experiences [are] already under development at Gearbox," says Randy Pitchford
I'm actually surprised by this, I feel like it came and went very quickly without too much interest
but good to see!
A sequel will need a lot of work. They didn't lean nearly enough into the fantasy elements, which left the combat feeling like Borderlands rather than a new franchise. The end game is trash, there's no new game plus, no proper DLC/expansions, etc. The drop rates for loot were god awful.
It had a lot of great ideas but in terms of gameplay it felt way too safe, like Gearbox was too scared to stray too far from Borderlands.
Good to hear.
I guess I will have to brush up on my FPS skills.
Randy just said that "the best looking console version of Aliens: Colonial Marines is going to be on Wii U"
I guess this looks like the Wii U might be a lot more powerful than some people are saying.
This is positive news for Nintendo Elite supporters.
Another professional has just gone on record to praise the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system tablet control functions. Also mentioning that the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system edition will be the superior version of the Alien CM title. Graphically and gameplay wise.
I am looking forward to see what advantages come with my day one purchase of this title, and what the new innovative tablet controller can do for me. I hope each and every one of you also get to experience the unique gameplay innovations that will be presented to us exclusively on the Nintendo version of this promising title.
Up to this point, this amazing looking title looks to be a fine compliment to the Nintendo brand. A great addition to the forever growing Nintendo library, and will stand up well to the future Nintendo Wii U entertainment system exclusive offerings that will soon be presented to us come this E3 2012 and beyond.
Pitchford also mentions that the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system is a true powerful next generation device. Which should give the hopefulls on the fence peace at mind, peace that was very much needed judging from the comments of the last few weeks.
Have a blessed day and happy gaming.
Rated E For Everyone
We'll see that at E3
"...from Nintendo."
The article title is completely misleading and taken out of context. He didn't say it's the "best FPS controller ever." He said, "it's the best FPS controller from Nintendo ever." Which isn't saying much.
