believe it or not ff13-2 was really good. far better than 13.

I played it. It was definitely better than the first one. I just don't think it was anywhere near as good as WKC.

Dark souls may be my winner but as far as classic jrpgs, ff13-2, WKC, and star ocean are my favs....or nier.... plenty of good ones, just not as many as ps2

really hope tales of xillia comes to america and they they make a ff13-3 since THAT ENDING was insane

I'm a PS3 fan and an RPG fan and I find WKC to be absolutely awful.

Does it arguably not count as a traditional RPG? Maybe but there's no RPG I've enjoyed more than Valkyria Chronicles. I was one of the few that bought it day 1 and I'll be forever proud of that.

That's their list and I just saved everyone from giving the site 10 hits. They went the hit monger route and put each game on its own page with a simple paragraph of what the game is below a half screen sized picture.

I disagree with any game that calls itself an RPG if the main form of gameplay is shooter based. That's not how RPG's started, it isn't how they progressed, and only recently has it come to pass. I call games like that shooters with RPG elements and/or a tacked on conversation system.

FFXIII-2 should NOT be on that list AT ALL. There are a f*ckton of better RPG's on the PS3 than FFXIII-2.

Crap list. Well, not crap, but not very good. Lacking Demon's Souls, White Knight Chronicles, and Valkyria Chronicles.

XIII-2 isn't bad, but on a list with what they have and what they lacked(the three I mentioned), it wouldn't be counted.

Sure is. I would love to play that on my PS3. I could just get it for my 360, but I never commit to getting it.

I have hardly played any noteworthy PS3 RPG's and suggestions are more than welcome, but I enjoyed

Loading times? Your mean 5-7 seconds? The longest loading times I experienced were getting into cutscenes and those were only 10-12 seconds.

And yes it is as great as people make it out to be. This is the jrpg this generation needs more of.

A common complaint with reviewers were the loading times 5-7 seconds and 10-12 seconds is a long time if you just sit there,get a stop watch out and time how long it takes you will notice it drags out longer than you think.
It gets annoying after the first 500 random battles waiting around listening to my characters chat about nothing while my xbox is trying hard to process it all before i can actually take part in the battle.In fact random battles are very last gen in general especially ones that take ages to load.Also I really didn't like Jansen he wasn't funny at all and came across as just annoying.

I never said it was a bad game i did enjoy it
i thought the environments were cool and the story was great and i liked those little mini storys you could read (really wish they were in game though some of the mini storys were better than the main story)its just not the best JRPG this generation.

Like i said i preferred tales of vesperia
with its quick loading,no random battles (all the monsters are on screen) and a more interesting protagonist in my opinion.

I double checked the list, no Disgaea 3 or 4. I think this is an oversight along with no WKC 1 or 2.

Also its a PS3 exclusive so it would have been better suited for this list. Also why no Disgaea?

Well dark soul and demon soul is kinda of the same except dark soul is harder and well larger. I think WKC is crap compare to any game listed on that list (even if they are multiplat).

They should have added games like Valkyrie Chronicals, Folklore and Disgaea onto that list, too much WRPG.

Given, the JRPG list haven't been stellar on this gen consols like it was back in PS2 days.

Didint know the ps3 had 10 rpgs. They do have folklore and valkyria chronicles which rock but the rest are multiplats or garbage like WKC 1 and 2.

The Ps3 really let me down this gen with rpgs. Sony went after western gamers where MS went after japenese gamers. Very backwards eh?
